Phantom bolted out of the room and chased after Danny, silently thanking the Fentons for the new sound proof lab because now Sam and Tucker couldn't hear them.
"Danny wait!" He called from down the hall. Danny ran toward the basement door, but Phantom tackled him to the ground when he was halfway there.
"Phantom! Get off!" Danny yelled.
Phantom grunted and held Danny's hands behind his back as he pinned him to the floor.
"No! We have to talk about this." The ghost said firmly. Danny growled and struggled more, Phantom was his friend so he didn't want to hurt him.
"There's nothing to talk about! We even don't like each other like that!"
"Danny, I've been looking for my soul mate for a long time now. Please, just give it a chance." The absolutely desperate look on the ghost boy's face made Danny sigh and nod.
"Alright, I'll give it a chance." He grumbled, feeling a bit guilty that he hadn't even considered giving the ghost a chance before he practically begged him. Phantom beamed at him before letting go of his hands and helping him up off the floor.
"Great! I was planning on going to a meteor shower tonight. You can meet me on the hill at the park."
Danny rolled his eyes and smiled a bit, "Okay, but can we keep it a secret for now? I don't want Sam and Tucker hounding us. Well, actually, I don't want Tucker hounding us." Phantom grimaced and nodded.
"Oh! That reminds me, they're waiting for us in the basement for training."
The ghost sighed dramaticly, "Okay." Then they both headed down to the basement with there sleeves over their wrists so their friends wouldn't see that they had found their soul mate.

That night...

Danny was looking through his closet because for some reason he felt really nervous about his date with Phantom. He had been looking for an outfit for about 10 minutes now. Then he stopped and groaned because he shouldn't be so nervous about going to watch a meteor shower with Phantom.
Finally, he picked out a pair of dark blue jeans, black and white converse, a white shirt and a jean jacket. (AN. Is it just me or can anyone else see him wearing that and making it look amazingly hot?) He even ran a brush through his hair even though it didn't make much of a difference and his hair still looked like it usually did. Danny then ran down the stairs and yelled that he was going out to watch the meteor shower he had been talking about. That was the only reason Phantom even knew about it in the first place. The young ghost hunter sighed as he entered the park's gates and walked to the hill near the forest.
What he saw at the top had his jaw dropping. (AN. I should be mean and leave it right here.)

AN. You know what, I will be mean and leave it right here. That's a wrap!

Just kidding! Is it bad that I was actually debating whether or not to leave it right there?

Phantom was there sitting on a blanket with an entire picnic set out along with Danny's telescope. Candles were set up around the blanket and the wicks glowed a slightly eerie green. The ghost smiled and motioned for him to sit down. He was wearing his usual outfit, but he added a white tie with his DP symbol at the bottom.
Danny shook his head before giving him a small smile and sitting down next to him.
"You look good." Phantom said smirking.
The black haired boy had to beat down a blush before laughing and tugging on the ghost's tie, "Nice tie. Where'd you get it? Your fan club?"
The ghost huffed and rolled his eyes, pulling his tie out of Danny's grip.
"No, Dora made it for me and insisted that I wear it."
"You told her?" Danny asked.
Phantom nodded and winced, "Yeah, did you know that she can squeal loud enough to alert her guards?" The human snickered at that and Phantom gave him a deadpan expression before chuckling a bit himself.
"Anyway, how do you think I got all of this food and the candles. The blanket I got from your house, but I couldn't take food because I couldn't replace it afterwards." He explained.
Danny nodded in understanding and they fell into a comfortable silence. Sapphire eyes would glance at Phantom every now and then and the ghost just pretended not to notice. It was the moments he looked over that he started to notice the little things about Phantom. Like even though he was a ghost he had a warm presence. Or how his eyes seemed to swirl different shades of green and glowed brighter when the moonlight hit them just right. He sighed in content as he looked out at the night sky.
"What are you thinking about?" Phantom asked, noticing Danny's light pink blush.
The other boy just shrugged, "It's just really beautiful out tonight." He said, not taking his eyes off of the meteor shower. The ghost rolled his emerald green eyes at him and put an arm around his shoulders, pulling him close. Danny sputtered setting incoherent before finally setting his head on Phantom's shoulder. The ghost smiled when he felt the weight of the others head on his shoulder and sighed in content when Danny's breathing steadied. He didn't want the night to end, but when he heard the Fenton RV going down the street he sighed and took his apparent soul mate home.
