Angels among us

Ashley asked me to be her girlfriend and i happily said yes. "Wanna go out for lunch?", she asked. I nodded. "Lets go than." She kissed me and stood up. We got at her car and we drove to Subway. We parked the car and got out. I slowly reached for her hand and we intertwined our fingers. "Aren't you scared that the paparazzi will see you with me?", she asked. "No of course not baby. I'm happy that your mine and the whole world can see." She smiled and kissed me. We walked inside and we ordered our food. We both had an extra chocolate chip cookie. We sat down and started eating. I took a sip of my drink. "I saw you staring at me this morning", she said, and winked. "I uhm... I didn't stare." I felt myself blushing. "Its okay babe", she said. "Your my girlfriend now, you can stare at me whenever you want." We held hands across the table. We finished eating and got in the car. "Is it okay if i visit my parents and brother?", she asked. "Yes of course baby. I'll go see my dad than." It was a 10 minute drive. Ashley stopped at the flower shop and bought some flowers. She got at her parents and brother's grave. "Hey mom, dad, Thomas. I brought Demi with me. I hope you guys didn't miss me yesterday. I'm sorry. But Demi needed me since her dad passed away a few days ago. She's my girlfriend now", she said. She looked at me and smiled. "She's good to me, so don't worry. I finally have someone in my life right now. I hope you guys are happy up there. I miss you guys." She put the flowers in the vase and stood up. I noticed she was crying. I hugged her and just held her tight. "Shh, its okay baby. They're watching over you", i said. I started singing Nightingale. I wiped her tears away and kissed her forehead. "Bye mom, dad, Thomas. I love you", she said. "And i love you", she said to me. I smiled. I knew i truly loved her back. "I love you too baby." She smiled and kissed me.

We walked to my dad's grave and i knelt down. "Hi daddy", i started. "I don't know where to start", i said. I felt Ashley putting her hands on my shoulders. "This is my girlfriend", i started. "She has been by my side sice you died. She kinda has experience with this. I miss you. I know we had a bad past, but i also know you were trying to become a better father. To make it up to me. Don't worry, i forgive you. I loved you back than, and i still do." I started crying. "I remember when you called me your little princess, i miss that. I miss your presence, your jokes, your hugs. Everything was getting better, until you died. I wish we could have some more time to catch up the time we missed together. Yes you weren't the best father, but you were trying. And i really appreciate that. Thank you, for being there for me. I love you daddy, don't forget that." I stood up and buried my face in Ashley's chest. She rubbed my back while i just cried. "Shh, its okay now", she said. "The first time is always the hardest." She kissed the top of my head. I held her tight. After a while i stopped crying. I looked at her and she wiped away my tears. I like the way she looks down on me because she's way taller than me. It made me giggle. "There is that cute smile i was looking for", she said smiling. "Thank you baby", i said. She gave me a smile and kissed me. We intertwined our fingers and walked to the car. We got in and drove home. "It will get easier babe", she said putting her hand on my thigh. I put my hand on hers. "As long as your with me."
