So onto my oc, Minnesota, info.

Representation: Minnesota

Human name: Annabelle Anderson (Jones), Nicknames are Bella and anny. ((I used 'Anderson' because it one of the most common last names in the state of Minnesota))

Location: Minnesota is a part of the great northern plains in the USA. This state shares the top half of its broader with Canada, Wisconsin to its right, Iowa right below it and north and south Dakota to its left.

Apparent age: Around 16

Physical details: Annabelle always has her hair at shoulder length in a side pony tail on the right side of her head. She has dirty blond but she likes dying it funny colors from time to time, this hasn't happen in a while. She has deep blue eyes with a every light tan skin during the summer, but then during the spring, fall and winter its a pale shade. Right below her right eye is a scar from the Duluth Lynching's, and her back as an "x" shaped scar from the civil war, it is about half the length of her back. She about 5"6 in height and her weight in 135 pounds.

Annabelle normally wears a rather dale outfit, though it can change. Her outfit is a pair of blue overall with a white button up shirt under it ((she lives out on a farm, thats why). Sometimes when she's in Minneapolis or St.Paul she'll change into a pink blouse with a brown belt around her waist and a dark blue skirt. And like all the other states she shares a look alike military outfit as her Father, America.

Personality: Minnesota over all is every nice to everyone, whenever she is out shopping she always opens the door for people. She can get really angry when ever people think that her state only ever snows, and have no hot summer. "We do to get hot summers" is something she always says. Even though she every nice, inside Bella has a bit of dark side from all the blood she had to see from a young age, she just keeps it hidden into she is forced to show it. (I think this goes for any canon or oc Hetalia character...I mean they all seen a lot of war :/)

She has strong love of different communities and cultures, because of this she loves sharing stories and being in fairs. She can get a bit to annoyed when people say she talks weird. She can get made when people say her name wrong. It's said like "Minnesoda" in presentation not "Minisota" ((Really the state name is from the Lakota (Dakota) language, not English))

Minnesota prides herself on being a proper young lady. Bella doesn't really like perverted comments unless its coming from her boyfriend. She also doesn't drink achool that much, she as a person, doesn't like the taste of it. Also She gets drunk quickly. (not a state sterotype, just her as a person)

Hobbies: Snowboarding, gardening, painting, reading, learning new kinds of magic, reading, teaching others about history and baking.

likes: Learning new things, going to night classes, pop music, rap music, french food, Mexican sweets, water colors, and dogs.

She loves it when it snows because of how pretty it looks and then she can snore broad all she wants. She also loves hot dish and hot coco.

Dislikes: Metal music, bullies, cats, pain meds, Annoying people, due dates, deadlines, slavery.

She also doesn't like it when it gets to hot out, but she has lots of lakes to cool off in.

magic she can use: She can use a far amount of Nordic magic and every little to no English magic. Bella can only really cast white magic, a.k.a healing magic, but if she has to, she can cast basic black magic to keep herself safe.

When not using magic she use uses a pocket knive which is always on her. She isn't half bad at using a gun, but tries not too use them. She learned the basics in hand to hand combat during WW1.

Sexuality: Bi, but leans more to males then females.

Brief History: First off let's start off with the meaning of the states name. Minnesota means in Dakotan langue "the dirty waters" or "Dirty river"; they used this word for the Minnesota River and the Mississippi River.

The first people to ever live in the area of Minnesota were the Dakota Indians and other Indian trips who came over on the land bridge during the last ice age. Now days you can still see Petroglyphs that were left nearly 5,000 years ago in southwest Minnesota. The french first had 'control' of now day Minnesota started up their fur trade here in the 1600's. The USA government got a part of Minnesota in the Louisiana purchase of 1803.

Minnesota was the 32nd state to join the union on May 11, 1858.

At the time the time it was the most northern state in the USA. Shortly before the state was made many framers from Sweden, Germany, and many other places started to come and farm. They were brought there by Front Snelling which was built in 1819. They drained many lakes and swamplands to make fram land.

In the time of slavery, Minnesota had prohibited any from of slavery within the state. In the early 1850's John Emerson brought his slaves, Dred Scott and his wife up to MN. They lived for a while, and when the owner died Dred said that he was free now and his case was went to the Supreme Court. The court sided with him, and He moved to Front Snelling. This was one the first cases in which the Supreme court sided with a slave over freedom.

On December 26, 1862, 38 out of 303 Dakota Indians were hanged in Mankato; this became one of the largest mass executions in the history of America. It wasn't into after the Dakota War of 1862 and the civil war that Minnesota's economy really started to rise thanks to the logger and framers.

Because of the rise in the state "Twin Cities" was coined around 1872, it started off as a small town of millers but grow every fast into the two largest cities in the state. In 1992 the largest mall ever made at the time was open in Minneapolis. But before that in 1920, on June 5th , three African American were ripped out of their jail cells and lynched in the middle of Duluth. The mod had believed the rumors that they had raped and robbed a teenage girl, even though the doctor's side that she was not raped at all.

Minnesota is now the 12th official state to have Gay marriage, the bill was passed on may 14th and Gov. Mark Dayton will sign the final bill on August 1st.
