Chapter 21

Caitlyn's POV

It's weekends and we decided to go shopping with my siblings. Hindi lang nakasama ang parents namin dahil may inaasikaso lang daw sila sa company.

Tumigil sa harap namin si Kuya Calvin, flexing the card he's holding. "I'm holding Dad's card. We can buy anything we want." He whispered.

Kinuha naman agad ni Kuya Hale yung card sa kanya. "Shut the fxck up, hindi natin uubusin 'to. We have our own money, remember?"

"That's for my date expenses, Hale." Angal niya.

"The hell I care tho."

"So, where should we go first?" Tanong ko.

Kuya Hale shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, it's our first time here. You're our tourist for today." Sagot niya while fixing his hair.

Napairap ako. "Why do you keep fixing your hair? Hindi naman siya magulo." Sabi ko.

Inakbayan ako ni Kuya Calvin. "It makes us look hotter, bunso."

My eyebrows furrowed. "Are you guys pursuing someone?"

Napatigil silang dalawa sa paglalakad at napatingin sakin. "Not us. Someone's pursuing us, we can't tell you that." Sabi ni Kuya Hale.

Nawindang ako sa sagot niya kaya sinabayan ko sila sa paglalakad. "What the fxck, Kuya Hale? Bakit kayo ang pinu-pursue?"

"We're good looking man. Of course, maraming gusto maging boyfriend kami. Kaya marami talagang nagp-pursue na kunin kami." Pagmamayabang ni Kuya Calvin.

Napailing ako at napahawa sa aking noo, ang disappointing pakinggan nitong mga 'to. It feels like naging fxckboy sila sa ibang bansa to play other woman's feelings not to study. "How about we eat lunch sa Tim Burton's?" Tanong ni Kuya Hale while looking at his phone.

"No rice?" Tanong ni Kuya Calvin.

Sinamaan siya ng tingin ni Kuya Hale. "You told me last night that you're on a diet, right?"

Napahawak naman si Kuya Calvin sa kanyang batok at napangiti. "How about we consider this as cheat day?"

I raised my hand to catch their attention, tinignan ko sila. "Stop arguing. Let's go there and grab some lunch.

Nang makarating kami doon, inutusan kaagad ako ni Kuya Hale na maghanap ng mauupuan namin. Umupo ako nang makahanap ako ng pwesto naming tatlo.

"What do you want to eat, bunso?" Tanong ni Kuya Calvin.

Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. "That's not how you should refer to me, i'm too big for that." Bulong ko.

Pinitik niya ang aking noo, napadaing naman ako sa sakit. "Masanay ka na. I'll tell Hale to order anything, hindi naman tayo mapili sa pagkain." Sabi niya.

Nakabalik rin sila kaagad na dala-dala ang mga order namin. "How's your school, btw?" Tanong ni Kuya Hale habang nilalagay ang mga pagkain sa harap ko.

Tinignan ko siya. "It's good. We have upcoming event sa university, right timing yung pagpasok niyo tomorrow."

Umupo silang dalawa sa harap ko. "Does your university have any rules or regulations? Such as wearing clothing that reveals too much skin tone or hair color?" Kuya Calvin asked.

Umiling ako at tinignan sila. "Wala. Are guys scared dahil baka masita kayo because of your hair color?" Tanong ko pabalik.

They both nodded.

Napangiti ako. "Don't worry. They're not that strict. Saan na tayo after natin kumain?" I asked, changing the topic.

They exchanged glances and gave one other a shoulder shrug. "We actually don't know. May places ka bang gustong puntahan?" They asked.

Before responding, I took a bite out of my burger. "Actually, I don't think we'll be returning home tonight. I would like to stay the night in Tagaytay and return the next morning for our classes." Sabi ko.

"Bro, it's not possible. Uuwi tayong walang tulog!" Angal ni Kuya Calvin.

"Actually, it is. It's been a while since we came to Tagaytay diba." Sabi ni Kuya Hale.

I smiled widely. "Oh diba? It is possible."

Sinamaan ako ng tingin ni Kuya Calvin. "How about our clothes? My skincare! I can't skip a night without doing it." Sigaw niya.

In the end, sumama samin si Kuya Calvin sa Tagaytay without his skincare. He even asked Kuya Hale to drive him home para kumuha ng mga gamit niya pero hindi siya pinayagan.

Lumapit sakin si Kuya Hale, while holding the hotel key card in his hand. "Here. I booked two rooms for us, if you need anything just call us okay?" Sabi niya.

Tumango ako at kinuha yung key card sa kanya. "Okay po! Let's meet at the lobby later, i want to play billiards sana." Sabi ko.

"If doubles, kulang tayo sa players. We have to find another one." Sabi ni Kuya Hale.

Napasimangot ako. "We'll find one for sure. Marami naman naglalaro nung sumilip ako earlier."

"You sure know how to play billiards ha?"

I nodded. "I do. My classmates taught me how to play, pero i'm not that pro player." Sabi ko.

While we're on our way to our room, tinignan ko yung phone kong nagv-vibrate. Joshua's name appeared on my screen as my phone started ringing.

"Who's that?" Tanong ni Kuya Calvin.

"A friend of mine."

Tinignan ako ni Kuya Calvin. "Hmm, Joshua. Ayan ata yung namention samin ni Mama kahapon. I even stalked him on socmed." Sabi niya.

My eyes widened. "W-what? Why would you do that?"

He winked. "Background check! Atsaka, i got the feeling that he has feelings for you also."

Napabuga ako ng hangin, i raised my hand to tell him na tumigil na siya sa pagsasalita. I quickly swiped the key card to get inside the room.

"What do you need at this hour, Josh?" I asked.

"What took you so long to answer? May ginagawa ka ba?" Tanong niya rin sa kabilang linya.

Humiga ako sa kama bago sumagot. "Nasa tagaytay ako with my siblings. We're spending a night here then we'll return before morning." Sagot ko.

"Eh? Are you okay with that? Wala kang tulog niyan bukas."

"yup, all goods lang. I just need coffee para matanggal antok ko."

"You should rest. See you tomorrow."

I yawned. "Thanks. See you tomorrow din, Josh. We'll play billiards muna before we go to bed." Sabi ko before i ended the call.
