marci

"happy birthday my sweet blue bell."my mother said. i rolled my eyes at the age old nickname. sometimes the name irritated me. other times like now it didnt. i smiled at my mother. i was an only child on the account of my parents never wanted alot of kids. i had my mothers violet eyes and my dads pitch black mane or curly hair. yes it was my birthday! i was officially at turning age. okay so wierd as all this sounds its actually really normal for my family because well...were werewolves.

so here i sat at the dinner table with my mother sarah blue. my mom was a short petiet framed woman with short mom-ish styled blonde hair that she gets done almost eyery month. her soft violet eyes stared at me in such a mom type way. i loved my mom because she was just like me. i was enclosed and a bit hard around the edges.

my dad was andy blue. he was alpha of the blue moon pack before he left the job to the beta, my distant uncle cain blue. my dad had black salt and pepper hair and kind warm moss green eyes that screamed cuddly. though he was big and muscular for his age he didnt scare me. he was a cop so alot of people didnt mess with me.

so you might be wondering why my mom calls me blue bell. well its because when i was little i had this cow with a bell on it and the bell was blue plus my last name so ya. the nick name was somewhat wierd but that was my mom. quirks and all i love her to pieces.

"thanks mama."i said. okay so sixteen and i still called my mom mama but who cares. she was and always be my momma.

"you are welcome baby gurl." momma said. and in that moment we heard this loud bang and we fell silent. she sighed. "they're here andy."momma said. even at my age i was confused as to what they were talking about.

father cursed and when i looked at them they had a sad look in their eyes. momma came Up to me and hugged me so hard as if it were the last time. something in me thought that it very well might be.  i wimpered quietly. dad shushed me with eyes. i was scared. dad looked at momma and they talked in their minds. it was something that only mates could do. momma nodded and turned to me. she grabbed me in her arms and put her lips to my ear.

"my dear i want you to go upstairs and into the closet in my room and open the secret door in my closet. itll have a box with directions and everything you will need for the emediate future. i want you to fallow those instructions very carefully you hear me." momma whispered. i nodded. it was best never to ask questions when momma said for you to do something. daddy came and put his arms around us both and hugged us together. "whatever you hear ignore it. you do as i said in the instructions. we love you dear one. always remember that." i nodded even as tears fell fastly down my face and my breath hitched in my throat. they kissed me one more time and pushed me o the stairs. i looked back at them as they looked at the door their bodies shaking with the force of a held back chang.

both of them were the bravest people i knew and to think that they wouldn't be able to be by my side forever hurt. but i turned and ran up to my moms room and ran to her walk in. in the back, barely visable to the human eye, was a door. i walked to it and pressed to side pannel and it slid open to reveal the service stair way. i looked down and saw my emergency bag all packed and ready as if waiting for me. i hurriedly picked it up and began to close the door when i heard a loud growl and a crash followed by a whimper which i knew was my momma. just as the door slid shut i heard the loud shot of a gun and cried out. i lnged for the door but the side pannel had an audomatic lock and it had already shut.

i wanted to bang on the door and scream for my parents but i knew it wasnt a wise idea. so i swallowed my sobbs and walked down the barely lit stair way. i came into a small celler room. i flicked on the small lamp and saw the box. it was the old shoe box that had held my grandmothers wedding dress and her ring. i walked over to it and opened the lid. in it was my grandmothers things along with a fat plumb lawyers folder and a small pocket picture book.

i picked up the folder and opened it. inside was a pass port, a fake ID and birth certificate, and a lot of money. it also help a small journal. i picked it up and opened it. sprawled in my parents hand writing, my moms swirled cursive and my dads a blocky typewriter, was the directions and a letter.

                        our dearest marcibelle,

our time together has seemed to fly. as a little girl you had always been strong and in the moment it is when you need to be strong the most. it is our deepest regret that we have left you without an explination and you will learn that all in good time. but now you need to be strong and be true to your orgins. the directions below are to be followed to a 'T'. ~ father

we love you to death and even more than that. know that if we could have prevented this we would have.god knows that we want to see you get a mate and have a happily ever after, but as you must know by now, that isnt possable. i want you to be brave and strong, but not reckless, so dont try to fight back, it wont end well. now follow these instructions and be on your way. we will be with you for every step of the way.

i love you my sweet blue bell, we both do, so be safe for us.

                                                                    mother.

with that i pulled out the directions and made my way down the barely lit hall and emerged on the other side of town. i looked back at my home town, its people sleeping in comfort and peace, while, unbeknownst to them, my parents were being murdered.

"i'll make you proud, both of you, and then i'll avenge you." i said, speaking to my parents, but it was carried away on the wind.
