~ Natsu's P.O.V. ~
Today's morning, the beginning of a day in which I already knew was going to be horrific.
The sleepless time I had encountered the night before made my eyes wander around the room, trying to make the dizziness go away."Sir."
"How many times have I told you to knock."
"Please forgive me, master. But, your father is calling."
"Of course."
My feet touching the cold floor, my messy attire and the unorganized bed made most of the servants enter my room and start cleaning.
I went inside of the washroom which was inside my large elegant like bedroom."Sir, will you need assistance?"
"No."
I closed as well as lock the door behind me with a deep sigh.
My feet stepped forward, turning on the warm water for the tub. While the water was running, I stared at the lifeless body in the mirror.
My eyes looked similar to deep pools of darkness which hadn't met light in quite awhile. My weak, skinny body was dangling as well as my hair in front of my forehead, when did I get this horrifing or depressing?
Probably this day, ten years ago. When she died...
I escaped my murdering thoughts and placed myself inside the bathtub.
.
.
.
.
"Your hair looks magnificent today, your highness."
"Are you done brushing it?"
"Oh! Y-y-yes, sir."
"Good," walking off from the servant's grasp, I left.
Towards my father's office.
I imagined him to be there since he basically lived in that stupid room.
Just the smell of him made my head ache.
I hated him just like I knew he hated me."May I come in, father?"
"Yes, you may Natsu."
Walking inside the room, I could smell the sense of tobacoo, he had been smoking again.
"Was is it?" I spoke frustrated.
"A new family has just moved into this town which is very good for business. They have a son and he isn't much of a sociable child."
"And?"
"I want you to make him feel comfortable in this mansion. Make sure to act like a gentleman, do you understand?"
"What if he acts like a spoiled brat. Like the rest of them."
"Natsu Dragneel! Stop this foolishness, you know better than to act like a stupid child. Your mother would have not wanted this."
"Mother?! What do you care about my mother. Do you even remember the day of her death?! Because I do. It was today! Today she died, Igneel!"
"You have no right to call me by my name, Natsu."
Before I could hear anything else I left the room.
What did he know?
My father lived in his office and I always spent my time in the garden. We had our places. It was the only place where you could find peace.
You didn't find vicious thoughts in that garden, you found soft whispers. It was the only thing that was still living and not just surviving.
It was the one thing that still had the touch and scent of my mother. The sweet smell of sunflowers.
.
.
.
My hand reached out towards one in a million sunflowers.
"I want to hear your voice."
"Please let me hear it."
"Please."
Ask I begged my mother for a word I knew I wasn't going to hear, a drop of meaningless water slid down my cheek.
"Please," I continued.
"There are a billion other beautiful sounds, you know?"
Was that her?
Did she just talk to me?"Huh?"
I looked up to find something else, but just as beautiful as the image of my mother.
A girl with the hair color of the sunflowers.
"W-who are you..."
She simply smiled and walked off into the bushes of sunflowers giving out little giggles with each step.
"Wait!"
I yelled, but my yell or hand couldn't reach the girl.
Was that an angel?
Her beauty was too much to be a ordinary human being.
"Or was that just the sunflowers telling me that there is still hope in this world?"
