Monday Evening
We had just arrived at our new house and it was beautiful. Since it's just the two of us, we bought a house that was affordable yet luxurious. I could not understand how such a beautiful house, that is three stories high and in the city, cost so less. Maybe it was meant to be.
I opened the door and slowly walked in. I turned on the lights to see wooden floors, huge living room space, and the marble counter tops. The windows were one of my favorites, they were huge and even tinted on the outside. I walked up the stairs to only see one room.
"Mom? Why is there only one room?" I asked.
"That's because your room is on the third floor."
"Oh..." I replied.
I walked upstairs and there was a little bit of living room space but the most important part for me was my room. I slowly walked towards my door and opened it. A perfect sized room with a walk-in closet and a bathroom. This is the best house we've ever owned. The outside view is alright but it's okay because I loved my new house. The movers don't come until the weekend but we already know what we have to buy to furnish the house. We sold most of our furniture since we had planned to buy new ones.

Tuesday Morning
"Wanna come with me?" My mom asked as she grabbed her purse.
"I'm actually going to go to the coffee shop down the street so I can use their wifi." I replied.
"Oh okay, be safe, I love you." My mom said as she kissed my forehead and left.
I had totally forgot that I don't have my car since we sold it before we moved. My mom sold hers too so she's using a rental. I ,on the other hand, am car-less until I buy my new car but for now, I walk everywhere I go. I walked a few streets down and made it inside. I ordered coffee and sat down next to the window. I was there for about three hours on my computer until I get a Skype call from Sara.
"Hey Sara." I said.
"Oh my gosh, I've missed you so much! So how's New York?" Sara asked.
"It's alright so far but I love the house I'm living in." I replied.
Then all of a sudden, a bunch of books and wires fall onto me.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry." The guy said.
"It's okay." I replied, picking up his books.
"I'm Westin." He said.
"I'm Bryn, I just moved here." I replied.
I'm not going to lie, he was pretty cute. His hair was a dark chestnut and his eyes were gray like the sky on a rainy day. He seemed to be about six foot three but I wasn't sure. He had this warming bright smile that makes me want to smile too.
"Oh really, so you liking New York so far?" Westin asked.
He sat down with me and we had been talking for hours.
"Excuse me ma'am, I'm sorry but the shop is closing right now." The barista said.
"Oh my gosh, have we been talking all day?" I laughed.
"Apparently." Westin smiled.
"We'll be out." I told the barista.
Westin and I walked outside next to the busy streets and dark sky.
"It was really nice talking to you." I said.
"Same here... which school are you going to?" He asked.
"I think it's called Sumter High."
"No way, I'm at that school too. I'm graduating this year." He smiled.
"Are you for real? I guess we'll be seeing each other at school." I said.
"Well I live that way, so I'll see you on Monday." He said as he gave me a warm goodbye hug.
I started to blush as I was walking home. He was so nice and knowing I'll get to see him everyday made me blush even more. However, a boyfriend is not my priority right now, it's having to graduate and making new friends.
As I opened the door, my mom was sitting in a new chair. In fact she already furnished all of downstairs.
"Where have you been?" My mom said, raising her voice.
"I was in the coffee shop." I explained.
"Really, all day?" My mom said with great doubt.
"Yes, really! I was talking to someone all day, I didn't even know how long I was there. Time flew by as I was talking to him and I was only planning on staying there for a few hours." I said.
"I'm tired, I don't feel like talking about this right now. I'll deal with you later." My mom said walking upstairs.
Don't you hate it, when your parent thinks you're up to something but you tell them the truth or what you're doing yet they still don't believe you. I'm not even going to start with this. All I really cared about, was my first great night in New York.
