I stood on top of the 16 pointed star drawn on the floor. I recited the summoning incantation they had drilled into my brain. Black mist circled me. This surprised me. No one had ever summoned a dark magic familiar before. But I tried not to get my hopes up. Sometimes the familiar changes its color to appeal more to its master.

As I finished the incantation the mist cleared, revealing my new familiar. A familiar is an animal or mythical creature that serves the person that summoned it. It protects us against people who use their familiars for evil. But when I saw my familiar I was completely confused.

It was a girl! She was kneeling at my feet. She was in a blue combat outfit and had white hair with blue at the ends. She stood up and looked me strait in the eye. "So. Are you my master?" She said the word master like it was the worst thing in the world.

"Yes. What type are you?" I asked.

"What mist appeared?" She asked.

"Black but-" I said but she cut me off.

"There you go. I'm dark magic." She said.

"But no one has ever summoned one!" I stated. She rolled her eyes and walked away. "Where are you going. I didn't tell you to go anywhere!" I called after here. She stopped and a wave of blood lust washed over me, making me fall to my knees.

She scoffed and walked downstairs onto the second floor. When I finally stood up it had been about 10 minutes. What was that?!  I thought to myself. I searched for her on the second floor and found nothing. I went down to the first floor and gasped. Everything was so neat! She walked out of the kitchen and looked at me.

"Damn! I let my Aspergers take over." She said and sighed.

"Wait so you can get sick?" I asked. She glared at me.

"I'm not sick! It is just something past down from my mom. It does nothing bad to my health." She said.

"You have a mom?" I asked. I had never thought about familiars having moms. Or families for that matter.

She was quiet for a while. "Had." She whispered and walked off. What did that mean? Her mom was dead? And what was that face!
