"We Don't Meet People By Accidents, They Are Meant To Cross Our Paths For A Reason."

Ding Ding'

The doorbell chimed as he opened the door of a local coffee shop named "Mr. P's Koffee" situated at the center of mill street, Bradford. As soon as he entered the shop, the soothing aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans engulfed his nostrils. He walked towards the counter and put his bag full of his art supplies on the other chair next to him and made himself comfortable on the other. He smiled as he saw a plate of vanilla and honey crepes, already sat for him on the counter, with a medium sized cup of banana milk shake. He quickly put his sketch book down on the counter and licked his lips hungrily before digging in, in his favorite daily breakfast.

"Tried something new today with these crepes, so how's the taste?"

His father Balwinder Pandey asked him as he came out from the kitchen wiping his hand with a towel. He quickly chugged down the meal he was chewing with the help of his milkshake.

"Trust me Bauji, I am loving the burst of cinnamon in my mouth right now. The flavor is just too damn delicious! Your new tricks are coming out very good I must say."

Bihaan praised his father's innovations and took another bite of his yummy crepes. His Bauji chuckled and sat down in front of him, looking around the coffee shop, he owns which is running successfully since its start three years ago. Just then a tall, dark haired guy entered the shop and came towards the counter, holding hands with a petite figured girl about 5'5 inch tall and had blonde haired which were dip dyed at the end in pink. Bihaan noticed from the corners of his eyes that how both of them were laughing at each other and were lost in their little world.

"Uuhhh can I have some chocolate waffles and one mocha frappe and...what do you want love?"

"I'll have the same as him and oh can you please write A and L' with cream on our Waffles? Because they are initials of our names Aaron and Luna."

The girl joyfully chirped and her guy lovingly hugged her sideways. Balwinder nodded smiling at the cute couple and went inside to pass on their order. Bihaan was trying to devour his favorite food in peace but the couple's love talk was irritating him out so he rolled his eyes at them. Balwinder noticed his son's reaction and notified the couple their order will take 10 minutes. They thanked him and left towards their table to wait for it.

"What?"

Bihaan asked his father when he gave him the look that said I am watching you' as they left. His father sighed and picked up the cloth to clean the counter.

"You know son I am only looking forward to that day when you will come in my shop with a girl holding your hands just like that."

Balwinder shared his daydream with Bihaan that made him almost choke on the last sip of his milkshake he was drinking.

"Sometimes I think that Kiran is way luckier than I am. I mean Maa NEVER ask her about when she will settle down in her life or get the 'guy of her dreams' like most Desi Mothers."

Balwinder found himself laughing at his son's sarcastic reply.

"It's not about settling in life Bihaan, you can even settle down with your pet for your whole life. Here I am talking about finding yourself the one you love, a REAL human."

Balwinder explained, earning a groan from his son. This was like a billionth time when his father has brought up this discussion.

"Bauji I just completed my college and I want to pursue my career as a successful artist Besides do you really think I can love someone? I mean who would be unfortunate enough to even love me?"

Bihaan exclaimed humourlessly laughing at his question and his father shook his head chuckling at him. He put his hand on his shoulder and spoke up.

"This thing destiny, it's very unpredictable! But one thing is for sure God has already written your name with someone before you were even born, it's just that you have to try hard to find that person, My son."

Balwinder stated, hoping Bihaan would understand, where he found himself agreeing to his father but his mind kept telling him that love is not his cup of tea.

"But Bauji I myself, never believed in such things so how can I love someone?"

Bihaan questioned confusingly and Seeing the puzzles state of his son, Bauji continued with his explanations.

"You don't need a collage degree to learn about it my Thick headed son everybody is born with it. Love is always there, in your heart but it exists in different phases through out your life for example, like the love you have for your art or the love you have for your parents and the love your parents have towards you specially, the love I have for you so you see, there are so many shades of love like that but there's always that one shade that completely changes your life forever. It enhances your personality, glorifies your character but most importantly It makes you feel complete that kind of love, is the love your partner gifts you because you are always a half heart without them but when you will find that one person, this emotion will seal your hearts and souls together and you will feel alive like you have never felt before and that's the beauty of love, Bihaan."

Bihaan was taken back by his father's deep words. They may had this discussion before so many times but his father's words never touched him like they touched him today. Balwinder noticed his son getting under the effect of what he said so he proudly smiled at himself removing his hand from his shoulder and let his words sink in bihaan's brain.

"Well Bauji I do believe in fate and if that's how it plays then I am waiting to see what it will throw at my way until then I am gonna go pay a little visit to my friend who's waiting for me in the City library."

Bihaan sighed and quickly replied to his father and started collecting his stuff to leave because he knows if he stayed here any longer, he would end up agreeing to his father and that's what he doesn't want to show him that his "love lessons" are making an impact on him and he's been thinking about it lately. Balwinder on the other hand knew his son, more than he knows about himself so he smiled and Waved him off when he saw him going towards the door.

"Oh I am so sorry I didn't see you there."

Bihaan apologised to a girl whom he accidentally collided when he turned around to go outside the shop.

"It's alright no worries."

The girl politely replied As she crouched down to pick up the books Bihaan made her drop. He still felt guilty so he decided to help her with her stuff. For a second Bihaan found himself getting lost in the sight in front of him. The girl was very young looking for her age and had big brown eyes and her Raven strands framed her adorable looking face. She had many freckles on her face but the one under her lips made her look more beautiful. He found himself smiling unconsciously, when he was helping her out while admiring her features. The girl's hand accidentally brushed against his' and they had a sudden eye lock for split second but both of them quickly stood up.

"You read Cassandra Clare?"

Bihaan questioned the as he saw the City of bones book in her hand. The girl put her strand behind her ear and nodded while smiling at him.

"Yeah she's my favourite author and I recently completed this one so I was returning it back to the city library to get the second part."

The girl exclaimed and was about to go towards the counter to get her self some coffee when Bihaan stopped her.

"Ermm I was going towards the city library too if you...don't mind you can come with me if you want."

Bihaan asked her while nervously scratching the back of his head. The girl agreed and went towards her table to pick up her coffee and left with him. Balwinder smiled thinking about how the fate has started to play its game without Bihaan even knowing.
