Mia's POV...

I was in my bed and I had been having the weirdest dream, I left with Connor into the woods, Rhydian and his family beside us. That was when I shot up in my bed, and looked around. My clock rung and I stopped it, I got up and went downstairs. Connor was already in his uniform and eating breakfast. I walked up and made breakfast for myself, "hey." I said. "Morning, sleeping beauty, had a bad dream?" Connor asked. "Yeah, it was weird, it felt so real." I said. I ate my cereal and went upstairs to change, when I came down Connor was next to the door. I grabbed my jacket and we headed to school, I saw Rhydian and Maddy walking and I looked over to Connor. We got to the school and met up with Shannon and Tom. We went to the dark room and started talking about how Shannon and Tom rescued two wolves, "we want to give you something." Rhydian said. "For saving those two wolves, we want to give you these." Maddy said. They handed Tom and Shannon framed drawings of two wolves, "they look exactly like the wolves we saved." Shannon said. "Oh, I just copied them from pictures on the internet." Rhydian said. "We should try and get the government to put something on them so they won't be hunted." Shannon said. "How are you going to do that, you have to prove they are actually still alive and walking." I said. "Tom threw the canister somewhere, we could recover it and spray it, then when they come we could take all the pictures we want." Shannon said. The bell rang and we walked to class, when I got to speak to Maddy and Rhydian alone, I said, "what are we supposed to do about the can?" I whispered. "We'll leave before them get to the canister before they even get there." Maddy said. "And do what with it?" I asked. "I don't know destroy it, hide it, something." She said. We went back to back to doing our work and soon enough, the day ended. Connor and I ran home and dropped our stuff, "we need to get to that can." Connor said. "But how, we don't know where it is." I said. We thought about ways but always found a flaw in our plans, then I smelt something, the bait. "Oh no." I said. I ran out, Connor following behind. I stopped to see Maddy, Rhydian and Ceri all growling at each other, then I saw Shannon and Tom standing on the other side of them. I transformed and ran over, I growled and we all transformed back, "we said enough." Rhydian said. I looked over to Shannon and Tom, then I saw a car pull up. I ran off and pulled Connor with me, "go home, I'll meet you there." I said. "Where are you going?" Connor asked. "Shannon's house, tell Mum and Dad everything, then tell them I'm going to the wild." I said. "Your not going to the wild alone." He said. I ran off and when I reached Shannon's house, I saw Rhydian walking over as well. We climbed up the wall and quietly opened the window, I sat down on one part of the window and he sat down next to me, "Shannon, your not really going to post those, are you?" I asked. She spun around in her chair, Rhydian started saying something but I zoned out, then I was brought back to reality, "you did the right thing then, do the right thing now." Rhydian jumped out the window, "don't make your best friend move away, she loves you guys, you can keep a secret, you can't keep this one?" I asked. I jumped out the window and walked away, I went home and met with Connor, "you can't leave." Mum said. "Mum, I have to find out what is happening to me, in the woods, that's where I'll find out, I'm gonna come back I promise." I said. Connor was at the door and we left, we went deep into the woods. I looked back and Connor looked back at me, "c'mon." He smiled. I transformed and he transformed, we ran and met up with Rhydian and his family, we got to a pack and we transformed back. I looked at Rhydian and took a deep breath, we walked up to a man wearing a red vest. "Hello, Alrick." I said. "Mia, decided to join the wild?" he asked. "I just came to stay for a while." I said. "I need to find out something that's happened to me." I said. We walked past him and I saw Jana who I haven't seen in so long.

Two Months later...

Rhydian, Connor, and I got on Alricks bad side and we ran, we ran to the school and ran inside, we ran into Maddy and ran into the dark room where Shannon and Tom were. "We need your help, the pack we were in, we kind of got on the pack leaders bad side, can you help us?" I said. "Yeah, lead them to the auditorium, we'll do the rest." Shannon said. I smelt them outside and I looked to Connor and Rhydian, we ran out and got them to run after us. I saw Jackson walking down the hall and grabbed him, "if you don't run, you'll die." I said. He ran with us and we stopped in the auditorium where Maddy had the screen down and a picture showing. We stopped next to her and they came running in, "take another step and these pictures go around so quick, you won't have time to even say oops." Maddy said. She went through the pictures showing Alrick and the other two showing off the veins and their eyes. I turned my eyes silver knowing they would follow any orders I gave them with my eyes, "leave and don't come back." I said. They ran out and I turned my eyes back, I turned to the guys and they smiled. Jackson pulled me into a hug and Shannon and Tom ran in, "did it work?" Tom asked. "Yeah, with a little help from Mia." Maddy said. I looked over to Connor and Rhydian, "you two are in desperate need of a haircut." I said. "We need to go, we have a family to surprise." Connor said. Rhydian, Connor, and I all walked home and Connor and I stopped in front of the house. I took a deep breath and we walked to the door, I knocked on the door and my mum opened the door. She put her hand up to her mouth, "hey Mum." I said. She pulled us into a hug, we went inside, I saw dad in the kitchen, "hi Dad." I said. Dad turned around, he ran over and engulfed is into a hug. "Tell us everything." Mum said. "First, I would like a shower, I would suggest one for him too." I said. Mum nodded and I went up to my room, still everything was there, I grabbed some clothes and took a shower, I brushed my hair out and when I was done I went downstairs feeling like a new person. "That feels so much better." I said. "Ok, so what happened while you guys were in the wild?" Mum asked. "I found out about my eyes." I said. "Apparently they are the eyes of an ancient pack leader, I didn't know I had wild Wolfblood in me." I said. "You don't, we've been tame for centuries." Dad said. "Oh, Jana said I was a pack leader of this ancient pack of wolfbloods that were tame but then couldn't take it and went back to the wild. Said they didn't choose their pack leader like every other pack." I said. I then smelt something, a flame, "dad, what are you cooking?" I asked. I looked back and saw the pan on fire, I stood up and my eyes turned silver. "Mia don't, you know you drain your energy when you do that." Connor said standing up. Dad ran over and grabbed a wet cloth from the sink, he put it over the pan and I sat down. "Sorry, instinct, you know that." I said to Connor. "So what happened while you were there." Dad asked. "Learned some other cures and Mia became close friends with the pack leaders daughter." Connor said. "Then after that, we got chased away because I defended Connor and Rhydian." I said. "You should go surprise your sister." Mum said. Connor and I went upstairs, we went into Katie's room, when I walked in, I saw Katie was sleeping, moving her head side to side and squinting like she was having this bad dream. "Katie?" I asked. I sat on her bed and shook her, "Katie." I said. She shot up in her bed and caught her breath, I looked at her, "Mia?" She asked. "Katie, are you ok?" I asked. "Yeah, but your home?" She asked. "Yeah, just got home not too long ago." I said. I pulled her into a hug and looked over to Connor, we went downstairs and I then saw something. I saw Jana in this trailer and she was looking around then I saw her with Rhydian and I. Then my focus was on Connor, "what did you see?" He asked. "Jana." I said. "Hey mum, I'm gonna go out, I have to deal with something important." I said. "I'm coming with you." Connor said. "No your not, you are going to stay here while I talk to Jana." I said. "Oh and Connor, watch after Katie just in case." I said. I ran out and went into the woods, I smelled around and followed the scent to Jana. I stopped at this trailer and saw Jana walk out, "Jana, what are you doing here?" I asked. "My father chased me away, I had no other place to stay." She said. I looked around and I held my necklace, when my finger touched it, I saw something. I was standing in front of Dylan and he transformed, then the gun went off and he was on the floor. Then I saw someone holding the locket and dropped it in the pond, then my focus was back on Jana. She looked at me and walked over, "it was him, wasn't it?" She asked. "Yeah, I finally know about this." I said. She wrapped her arms around me, pulling me into a hug. I then smelt something, it was wolfblood, I've never smelt this wolfblood before, I pulled apart from Jana and looked over. I saw a man, "may I help you?" I asked. "Your Mia Anderson, I've been looking for you." He said. "Why have you been looking for me?" I asked. "I've been looking for you because you are the pack leader of my people." He said. "Your people?" I asked. "The wolfbloods in my pack, I went in search for a pack leader, that's you, you did know about us right?" He asked. "I knew I was a pack leader of an ancient pack but didn't know they were still alive." I said looking over to Jana. "No, no we are very much alive, but we need your help, it's my daughter, she's hurt, hasn't moved in weeks, she eats but we haven't been able to move her." He said. I looked over to Jana, "excuse us a moment." I said. I pulled Jana back, "what am I supposed to do?" I asked. "Well, he's obviously not lying." She said. I sighed, "well, I can't just leave, I just got home." I said. "Then go and come back." She said. "Fine." I said. "Go home first and tell your parents, then go." She said. We walked back over, "I'll go, but I have to do something first." I said. He bowed down but I grabbed his arm and pulled him up, "I don't want loyalty, I want trust." I said. He nodded, "I'll be back, I have to do something, stay here." I said. I ran off and when I saw my house I ran straight inside, I grabbed some stuff and went down stairs. "Mum, I'm going out, this guy found me and said I was the leader of his pack and I have to help someone there." I said. "Do you know how long you'll be?" She asked. "Not really, but I do need one thing." I said. "What?" She asked. "Connor." I said. "Let's go." He said. "Mia, Connor, be careful." Dad said. We nodded and ran out. "Mia, what are we doing again?" Connor asked as we ran. "I'll explain later." I said. We stopped and I saw the man, "you ready?" I asked. He nodded, "lead the way." I said. We transformed and ran through the woods, once we were there we transformed back and I looked around to see all these wolfbloods looking at us as we walked by. "She's in here." The man said. We walked into the large tent, "dad?" I heard a girl ask. "Hey, I brought the pack leader here, she's gonna help you." The man said. I walked up and kneeled down, "hi." I said. She bowed her head, I put her finger under her chin, I lifted her head, "I want you to be my friend, not just someone in my pack." I said. She nodded, "so, what happened when the accident happened?" I asked. "We were hunting and it was my first time out, we ran into some humans who were hunting as well and I was shot." She said. "Where?" I asked. "The side of my leg." She said. "Can you show me?" I asked. She moved the blanket and showed me the side of her leg where there was hole in her leg, I looked at it and saw something shine. "They never got the bullet out, did they?" I asked. I looked up to the man, "no, they said it had been too deep." He said. "What's your name?" I asked the girl. "Bailey." She said. "I'm Mia, Bailey this is my brother Connor, I want you to focus on him, take my hand, squeeze it at anytime you want, ok." I said. She nodded and took my hand, she looked over to Connor and I took out a glove. I held out my hand over the wound and suddenly felt the bullet in my hand. "That didn't hurt did it?" I asked looking at her leg. "Not at all." She said. "Ok, let's see how you stand up and walk." I said. She stood up and took a few steps, she smiled and looked up at me. I smiled and she engulfed me in a hug, "thank you." She said. "Anytime." I said. Then we heard screaming outside, We ran out to see an open flame in the middle of the ground with everyone surrounding it. My eyes turned silver and I walked up, Connor grabbed my arm, "Mia don't." He said. "You know I have to." I said. I put the flames out and stumbled back a little, I fell to the floor as everything went dark, I saw something. I was in a tree laughing, and suddenly something hit me and I was hanging off the branch I was sitting on. Then I saw myself in toms arms, then I slowly opened my eyes. When I noticed I was still on the floor, I sat up. "Did I?" I asked. Connor nodded, "ugh, I need to stop doing that." I said. I stood up and brushed off myself, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I looked at it, Jackson was texting me, 'hey where are you I came by your house and you weren't there.' I read. 'I went out really quick with Connor, I'll be back in a minute.' I replied. I put my phone back and looked around, "we have to go, I told my parents I wouldn't be to late." I said. The man nodded and we ran off, when we were home I saw Jackson standing outside. "Hey." I said. "Hey, where were you?" He asked. "Had to do something really quick with my pack, but it wasn't too bad, what's up." I said. "Just wanted to see you, I haven't seen you in two months." He said. I wrapped my arms around his neck, "well, I'm back now, so." I said. "I wanna show you something." I said. He looked at me, we ran into the woods and I stopped at the pond. "Ready?" I asked. He nodded, I put my hand in the water and the pond lit up. I stood up and looked up and Jackson, who's eyes were lit up, I smiled, "when did you learn how to do this?" He asked. "When I was with that pack, I kind of found out myself when I came to the pond." I said. "You came to the pond while you were there?" He asked. "yeah, everyday. I would hide up in the trees and watch the leaves move as the wind blew, sometimes I would see you, but that was when my friend, Jana, would stop me and we'd run back to the pack." I said. Then I heard something, I looked back and saw nothing, "what?" Jackson asked. "I hear something." I said. "What do you hear?" He asked. "I don't know, yet." I said. I walked through the trees and smelt around, I could smell a Wolfblood, someone familiar. Then I saw someone standing not too far from us, he looked about the same age as me, he had brown hair and blue eyes, he walked closer to us, "who are you?" I asked. "You know who I am." He said. I took a good look at him but didn't see who it was. "I'm sorry, you are?" I asked. He made this face that I've only known one person that does it, "Danny?" I asked. "Mia, it's been what? A year?" He asked. "I don't want to talk to you Danny." I said walking away, Jackson following behind me. "Look, I know I was a jerk back home but I've learned from my mistakes, I'm different." He said. "Last time I heard someone say that I was locked in a cage, do you know what it's like, to be locked in a cage trying to resist transforming under the full moon?" I asked grabbing the rim of his shirt. "Mia, relax." Jackson said. I let go of him and started walking away, when Danny ran after me and grabbed my arm, I turned around my eyes their silver color, "leave me alone Danny, I've already got a bunch of things to take care of, I don't need you to be one of them." I said. I turned away and walked away, not turning my eyes back to their original color. I left Jackson there with Danny, I knew Jackson would leave me alone for a while so I would calm down. I didn't go straight home, I covered my scent and went out of town, I saw a ruck coming by and as soon as it passed by, I ran after it and sat in the back. Then suddenly I heard that screaming, I covered my ears and tried to block out the sound, I then blacked out.
