Chapter 12: She's My Girlfriend

Emily's P.o.V

Me and Tom were behind the school in a secret spot so no-one would find us. "I'll go and get Jake" I said and Tom smiled and kissed me. "Sure, I'll be round in about 2 1/2 hours" he said and we left the spot. We walked round to the front of the school and Tom got in Derek's truck. I started walking in the direction to get Jake before someone shouted my name. I turned and saw Jessica and Zelda. "Where are you going?" Zelda asked as they walked up to me. "I'm going to...uh... town" I made up. "Well we'll come with" Jessica said. I sighed and nodded and we started to walk and talk into town. I got out my phone and texted Tom, telling him to get Jake.

"So Emily, have you noticed your 'Secret Admirer'?" Jessica said. "What?" I asked confused as she grinned. "You know, Tom Henshaw. He's been looking over at you lots on the field and in lessons, especially when he's drawing you" Jess replied. I started blushing and said, "What do you mean, 'drawing me'?" "Have you not seen? He has a sketch pad with drawings of you, drawings of his family and other stuff" Jess said and I blushed harder. "No, I haven't seen these drawings" I said. "I think he has a crush on you" she said and I blushed probably the brightest shade of red ever. "I-I don't like him" I said quietly but it was obvious I was lying. "You're blushing so bright, I could see you from Mars" Jess said. "She's probably just embarrassed" Zelda said. I looked over and she was blushing slightly. "Wait, why are you blushing?!" I said and she went redder. "Oh, well I um... I sort of have a crush on Tom" she said smiling and looking down. "Aww, that's so cute, you should tell him" Jess said. "No, you shouldn't" I said quickly and we stopped walking. "Why?" Zelda said. I sighed and said, "Please keep it a secret but, me and Tom are dating and have been for over a year now". "What?! You didn't tell us this?!" Jess said. Zelda was clearly upset so I hugged her and she hugged back. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you, we didn't want it spreading" I said letting go. "It's fine Emily" Zelda said as my phone started vibrating. I got it out and saw Tom calling me. I answered and heard Jake say, "is mummy?" "Yes Jake, it is mummy" Tom said. "Hello?" I said. "Hi Emily, I just wanted to ask why I had to get Jake, as it's your week to look after him" Tom asked. "I was going to get him but then Jess and Zelda appeared and I couldn't say no to my friends" I said. "Oh, well do you think you can come by and get him?" Tom asked. "Sure, see you in about an hour" I said hanging up.

After walking for about 10 minutes, we came to a shopping centre. "Let's go in. You want to come Emily?" Zelda said but I shook my head. "I've got to get home" I said and she grinned. "You mean to Tom, right?" She said and I sighed. "Yes" I said and they nodded and went inside. I started walking towards Tom's house when my phone vibrated. I got it out and there was a message which read, 'Tell me, how is your boyfriend'. I put it off thinking it must be Zelda or Jess trolling me until I got another text. 'I want to know, is Tom all you could have hoped for? Or was that me?' It said and I stopped and sat at a bench thinking about what it meant. 'Come on, please tell me, entertain me. Like you entertain Jake' the next one said and I started to shake with fear. I got another message which said, 'I see you Emily Jackson, sitting on that bench' and I got up and ran before being grabbed. I turned and saw a cheetah. "Who are you?!" I shouted hitting him. "How did you forget me?" He said taking off his hood and I could clearly see that it was James. "Oh god, please don't hurt me" I said scared. "I won't hurt you, but you didn't answer me" James said. "How do you know about me and Tom? And how do you know about Jake?" I said creeped out but angry. "I've seen where you and Tom kiss. I've seen you drop off your little man at the day care. I've been through living hell thinking you might still like me, but instead you're with an autistic gamer" James shouted. "Leave Tom out of this. He's done nothing to you. I'm sorry about what my dad did to you" I said but he slapped me and I fell to the floor. "You don't understand what it's like in jail because a stupid girl told her daddy she liked me. Don't talk to me like you understand!" James shouted as I got up. "I said sorry James, just leave me alone" I said and started walking before hearing Tom's voice. "I love you princess" he said. I turned to see a video on James' phone. "I love you too my Puppy" the video me said and kissed him. I ran at James but got hit in the stomach. "I might post this where everyone can see it. Maybe then your dad will get Tom arrested and you get a new crush again" James said. "Or maybe he will send Jake to an orphanage or you know, just simply kill him" he said driving me over the edge. I ran and hit him hard across the face but got backhanded and pushed to the ground. I got up and he grabbed my shirt and hit me in the face, pushing me backwards and ripping off part of my shirt. I ran back at him, claws extended but he moved out the way and scratched my back with his claws. I fell to one knee in pain as he walked away. "See you tomorrow Emily" he said before walking off.

Timeskip

I reached Tom's house and knocked on the door. It opened and Carrie was there. "What do you want Emily?" She said in a tone that said she didn't want me there. "Who is it Carrie?" John shouted from the kitchen. "Emily Jackson" Carrie shouted back. I felt a tear go down my face and needed to hug Tom. I pushed Carrie out the way and went up the stairs with Carrie following me and John behind her. Tom was walking out the bathroom in his sandy beige shorts and I ran and hugged him, making him flinch in surprise. I cried into his damp, warm chest fur and burrowed my face into it as Tom's arms wrapped around me. "Tom hold her, I'll get my bat!" John said as I looked up to see John's angry face. Tom moved me behind him and said, "No dad. I won't let you hurt her!". "Why Tom? She's you're rival" Carrie said as I hugged Tom's back. "No mum, she's my girlfriend" Tom said and John and Carrie both gasped. "What?! How long has this been going on?!" John demanded as I went to the other side of Tom and hugged him crying into his chest fur again. "Over a year, please don't be mad" Tom said. "I'm going for a walk. This is too much to take in" I heard John say before footsteps and someone going downstairs. "What's wrong Emily?" Tom asked and I looked up at him. "J-James attacked me. He th-threatened to show a video of us kissing to everyone, including my dad. I don't want you to go to jail" I whined crying again as he kissed my head. "It's fine Emily, you'll be alright" Tom said. "You're very caring Tom. You must be a good boyfriend" Carrie said. "Thanks mum. You're not mad are you?" Tom asked. "No of course not. Just a little confused. I think your father is as well" Carrie said as I let go. "Ca-Carrie. Please don't tell my d-dad" I said and hugged Tom again. "If you don't want me to I won't. But should Derek know?" She said. "He already knows" Tom said. "Oh, okay then. I'll leave you to it" she said walking downstairs as Tom took me into his room.

Hey guys, sorry I've been gone so long. I've had school to deal with and as I found out I take gaming over wattpad. I've been writing notes for the upcoming chapters and will have no games available for a few months so should be able to get out a few chapters then. Bye for now.
