Matt and everyone else had just defeated Seadramon and the teens were shaken up, big time. However what made it worse was that just as they were settling down to finally get some rest after defeating the angry digimon the bushes behind them started rustling. I soon appeared from behind the bushes with my digimon, Devidramon. The other humans took a step back. . .well except for Joe that is. He was grinning like an idiot before running over ot me and hugging me
"_____!!!", Joe cheered my name as he hugged me tighter, "Oh it's so nice to see a friendly, human face, and know we're not the only ones in this strange world anymore!!!".
"Joey~!!!!!!!!!!!!", I chimed happily and hugged him back before looking past his shoulder to see a group of people and digimon behind him. Joey had his own digimon, "Aw, Joey who are your friends? And what are their digimon called?".
A boy with goggles, who introduced himself as Tai, soon listed everyone's names and which digimon they had. It was a boy named Izzy who looked at me curiously before opening his mouth, "Who are you and what is that digimon behidn you called? How do you know Joe?".
"Oh, sorry! How rude of me! My name is _____. This is my digimon, Devidramon. Don't let him scare you, he's a good boy.", I giggled and pet my digimon on his muzzle, "Joey's an old friend of mine. Come to think of it we've been friends since we were very little since our parents are good friends. I think I've know Joey since we were what? Eight months old?".
Joe nodded and confirmed my rounded estimate. I grinned and hugged him again before we all settled back down for sleep. I was sleeping on Devidramon's head since he was so large. Joe was the tallest one among us and he only came up to Devidramon's shin. Tehe. The two girls and the small child in the group slept far away from my digimon and I, after what Tai's digivice had said about it, but I knew better. Devidramon was my partner and though he never de-digivolves back to rookie level like the others' digmon, I love him all the same. I actually like that he stays at Champoin level. It makes me feel safer. Tai and Matt were sleeping by the scared members of the group to make them feel better while Joe slepy with me on Devidramon's head. He was happy to see me again. Izzy was actually sleeping with us as well. he was curious as to what made Devidramon so calm and opposite of his nature, which Tai's digivice descirbed as merciless and voilent. The computer genius was curious, another mystery, what was it about me that made Devidramon so calm and obedient? The young genius would have to wait until tomorrow yo figure out this mystery because sleep claimed him before he could start thinking of possible hypothesies(sp?). When I was awake again Joe was shaking me awake. What's going on? Seadramon was back. THe others were still sleeping too. Izzy was trying, but they just wouldn't wake up. Wait a minute! He'll be hit!!! I sprinted over to them, making Devidramon wake up from my presence's absence, as Joe fell off Devidramon's head.
"IZZY!!!", I screamed, but he turned around to late and I dove without even thinking, "GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!".
I pushed him out of the way to get hit with Seadramon's attack. That riled Devidramon up quite nicely as I lay on the ground, bleeding. Everyone was awake now, especially after Devidramon's screeching cry. Izzy was beside me, tears in his eyes, as he screamed at me, "_____ WAKE UP!! YOU IDIOT!! YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT!!! ____ I'LL NEVER FORGIVE MYSELF IF YOU DIE!!!! _____!!!".
I coughed and struggled to prop myself up on my elbow and lift my head up to look past Izzy and towards my digimon. I coughed up blood while screaming, "DEVIDRAMON USE CRIMSON CLAW AND FINISH THIS!!!".
I collapsed back to the ground in a coughing fit after I gave my digimon it's orders. Devidramon finished off Seadramon quickly after that though. Everyone was concerned, but Joe was smiling as he aprroached and ruffled my angled, spiky, shoulder-length, lavender hair as he crouched down beside me while still smiling at me, "Same old ____-chan. You always rush in and take the hit. Get some rest. Devidramon and all of us will look after us while you sleep. Sleep.".
