Love, Life, Death...And Blood: Chapter 9

            The sun wouldn’t get out of my face when I woke the next morning, so instead I buried my head into my pillow.

            “Morning Sleeping Beauty.”

            “Hello Prince Charming.” I said with a sleepy smile.

            “Sleep well love?”

            “Yes.” I said cuddling into his chest. He was so warm.

            “Good. Now, I shall go get breakfast for you.” he said kissing my forehead.

He rose slowly, pulling on a pair of boxers and jeans. He looked back at me, jumping on the bed again. He smiled at me, touching my cheek with his hand.

“Why must I leave you my love?”

“I would rather you stay here.”

“Then I will.”

He pulled my hair out of my face, kissing my neck. I moaned softly. His lips were so soft.

“Shit.” He said jumping up. He was covering his face.

“Ace…” I crawled over to him. “Are you ok?”

“No. why?”

“Because, I’m worried about you.”

I moved his hands away from his face. White fangs revealed themselves from Ace’s lips. I jumped back, almost scared.

“Ace…”

“Yes. I know.” he looked up at me.

His eyes were crimson instead of the blue they were last night. He reached over to touch my face, he was the same Ace he has always been…right?”

“Ally. Don’t be scared. I won’t hurt you.”

Ace POV

            “Ally. Don’t be scared. I won’t hurt you.”

            Her eyes were so full of fear. I can’t believe I was careless. She rested her head on my hand.

            “I’m not scared.”

            “Yes you are. I can tell.”

            “You’re a vampire…”

            “Yes,” I looked into her eyes.

            “Drink my blood, Ace.”

            “No, I couldn’t.” 

            She was watching me suffer, she knew. She saw it in my eyes.

            “Ace, just do it please.” 

            I watched her as she pulled her hair away, revealing her perfectly angled neck.

            “It’ll make you feel better. Just drink it.” She said. Her eyes were staring into mine.

            “I can’t.”

            “Why not?”

            “I don’t want to hurt you. I would never forgive myself if I turned you into a vampire.”

            “Then change me. We’ll be together forever that way.” She sat up, wrapping her arms around my neck.

            “Do you really wanna live forever love?”

            “As long as I had you it wouldn’t matter would it?”

            “No, I guess not.”

            “See? Now…turn me.”

            “Don’t die on me…please?”

            “I promise.” 

            She looked into my eyes, laying her hands on my chest. She looked so innocent, yet terrified behind her gray eyes. I didn’t want to hurt her. Ally…was my lover. I would do anything but hurt her. She wanted this. To live with me…forever eternity. Her neck was at my lips, all I needed was to take a bite, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I knew I would hurt her, and when I did it would kill me.

            “Ace…are you ok?”’

            “Yeah, I’m ok.”

She looked away.

“You don’t have to do this.”

“I don’t?”

“No…”

“I could never hurt you like that. I couldn’t bring myself to bite you, Ally. I’m sorry.”

“It’s ok. I understand.”

She touched my face with her hand. She really did understand. She kissed me gently, still holding my face in her hands.

“You won’t ever lose me Ace, don’t worry.”

“I’m not.” I said as I kissed her forehead.

“You look worried though.”

“I’m fine, love. It’s ok.”

“Liar.”

Her hair was hiding her face. She kissed me again, and again. As if she was trying to tease me.

“Drink my blood Ace.”

“No.”

“Yes.”

I looked at her like she was crazy. I didn’t’ know what she was trying to do, but she was doing good I think. I leaned over, biting her neck gently. Her blood…so amazing. I started to drink it, listening to her heart begin to pound and her breathing quicken.

“Ace…stop…”

I tried to, but the urge to drink the sweet liquid was driving me crazy. I couldn’t help but continue to let myself be indulged by its way of curing the thirst I’ve had so long. But, I pulled away.

Wiping the blood from my lips, I licked away the last drop of blood from her neck. She was shivering.

“Are you ok?”

“Y-yeah. I’m ok.”

“You sure?”

“Yes. I’m ok.”

Her eyes turned black then. And I admit I wasn’t sure what I did.

“Ally…”

“What?”

“Your eyes…”

“What about them?”

“They’re black..”

“They’re always like that silly.” She said punching my shoulder lightly.

“Oh. Derp.” I said with a goofy grin.

She giggled, then laid her head on my shoulder. I reached behind me, grabbing her ass. She squeaked, then bit my neck playfully. Her smile, was so amazing. She jumped off of me all of a sudden, and I wasn’t sure why.

“Your phone scared me.” She said laughing.

“My phone?” I said pulling it out of my pocket.

Chris had texted me, asking when I would bring Ally back to school. As far as I was concerned, she wasn’t going back to that horrible place. She was in danger, and it was my job to protect her. Those vampire hunters can’t keep all of them away.
