"Hey you. Yeah you."
"M-me?," my voice faltered slightly as I looked around to see if there was anyone else around, but there wasn't. He was obviously calling out to me.
"Tsukinose-san, was it?" he asked as he came running over to meet me. His deep blue eyes showing through the strands of hair that fell carelessly to his shoulders.
At first I wasn't sure how to respond. I've had never interact with anybody that much, only the occasion that I had to work with a partner during class. But now here I was on the side of the river bank with a boy calling out to me. It took a moment for me to respond,"Ahh, yeah that's me," I said softly stuttering on a few words. "You're Sakai-san..."
"Haha that's me," he said in a tone that reflected his personality, always happy and joking. He was probably the most popular guy in school at the moment.
"Umm...." My voice trailed off as I tried to think of what to say. "C-can I help you with something?" I adverted my eyes as to not make eye contact a slight blush spreading across my face.
"Ehh?" He asked with a slightly confused expression on his face. "Is it wrong for me just to want to talk to you?" He said while playfully tossing my hair over one shoulder.
"N-no," I stuttered. I could feel my face grow hotter with each passing second. "I-it's just that you've never talked to me before today."
"Huh," he sighed while turning towards the riverbank. "You're such a difficult girl. Come on," he said as he pulled on my hand. "How about we sit while we talk," he suggested as he slumped down on the grassy hill that overlooked the water.
"O-okay," I agreed as I took a seat about 3 feet from him.
"So you asked why I wanted to talk to you right?"
"Y-yeah," I said suddenly remembering what I had said earlier.
"What if I said that I was because I like you?" he said with a smirk on his face as he moved closer to me.
"Wha-what?! Y-your joking," I protested as he moved closer to my face. I could feel my face growing hotter with each passing second.
"Come on, I'm serious," with the look in his eyes I could tell that it wasn't a lie but I didn't want to believe it.
"Y-you're lying," I said in a baby voice as I stared at the ground, a soft blush spread across my face.
"Fine, then you leave me no choice," he said as he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me in close.
"Wha-" I was cut off as he slowly pressed his lips onto mine. At first I tried to resist but eventually I gave in. My eyes slowly closed and I could feel my face growing hotter. It felt like that moment lasted forever but eventually it was over.
"Tsukinose-san," he began. His eyes were closed and his head was hung so that it almost looked like he was begging. "Do you still think that I'm lying?"
