Bite Me. (A Vampire vs. Werewolf Love Story) [part 1]

My name is Jeanette McLough. And I have a confession to make.

I am a Vampire. One of the top rulers of the blood vermin.

I attend Lamia Academy, the super exclusive school hidden in the undiscovered islands of America.

These islands are home to all the vampire generations, and those who are human are not allowed here, or they are instantly killed.

The Lamia and Lupus War of 1209 (Vampire and Werewolf) has had a major impact on our island.

We made a compromise. Half the island is now home to Werewolves, or Lupus, and their academy, Lupus Academy.

My parents are perhaps the most strict vampires on our island.

Lucky me.

I was the star student at Lamia Academy, and I was expected to do great things for our kind, and never break the code of Vampires.

What is the code?, you may ask.

3) Kill all humans that dare trespass on our island

2) Do not prey on other vampires

1) Never visit, mate, or associate with the Lupus (werewolves)

I am ashamed to say that I broke all of these rules.

But I am getting ahead of things.

Let's start from the beginning.

***

Jeanette- Age 17

You are probably wondering why I am only seventeen.

Vampires live forever right?

True.

I have been alive since 1809, and at age 17, I was diagnosed with cancer.

In my time, cancer was believed to be contagious, so I sent myself off America to unknown lands on a voyage boat, in hopes of exploring the world before I died.

I arrived here, were I was greeted my two very pale, intimidating characters.

They told me to plead my case.

I told them I was exploring the world before I died, and they laughed.

They told me that they could kill me now, or they could cure my disease and make me all powerful.

I chose to be all powerful, so here I am, centuries later, still 17.

And I love it.

I have ultra glowing skin, and deep blue eyes.

I have long, dark hair that consists of many curls, and, as of right now, I am the most popular girl in Lamia Academy.

It was a very sunny evening on the island, so I got out my towel, put on a red bikini, and took a spot in the sand.

Most think that vampires are killed by sun.

Wrong.

The sun makes us more powerful, and some vampires become addicted to this power, and they eventually die, just like humans with drinking or smoking.

I looked at the water, shining and sparkling. I grabbed an inflatable raft, and I hoped into the water.

I waded in the water, on my raft, slowing drifting away from the island.

It didn't matter, I was a strong swimmer.

I gently fell asleep. Yes, vampires sleep.

Not because we need rest, but because it tones our skin.

Nothing is more beautiful than a well toned vampire in the sunlight.

I woke up in a strange place.

It looked just like our island, but with brighter colors, and loud noises.

I was laying in the sand.

I looked out and saw my raft drifted at sea.

Crap.

Where was I?

I stood up and saw a figure, coming closer.

The figure was guy, I saw muscles.

It drew closer.

It was tan, very tan.

It surely wasn't a vampire.

It turned into a very tall man, with giant muscles, a perfect body, and a six pack.

Wow.

He had shining black hair, and he looked about 18.

"Who are you?" he asked, with his deep brown eyes meeting mine.

"Jeanette. Who are you? And where am I?"

"I'm Aaron, and this is our island. Lupus Island." he said, with a smile.

"You mean Lamia Island," I said with hesitation.

"Sure," he laughed, "if you're on the vampire's side."

"I-I-I am-" I started, but I quickly stopped myself, he was gorgeous, unlike anything I had ever seen. I didn't want his beautiful face to turn angry.

"Take a seat," he said, sitting in the sand, and patting a spot next to him.

I did as I was told, and I sat down close to him.

He put his arm around me and I laid my head on his shoulder.

"We will have time for introductions later," he said, "But right now, it's sunset, and I don't want to miss it. That's why I came down here. You were a bonus."

We laughed as our eyes met.

I was still on the island, but I was on the werewolf half.

And so far, I liked this side much better.
