Inside the dropship, I noticed Clarke was passed out on a homemade hammock. That's when I realized that I would be on my own until the fevers passed. Octavia had eventually joined Finn and I in the dropship and the three of us began caring for the sick. We provided them with food and water; removed and put on blankets if they were cold or hot. We basically babied them until they were nursed back to health. One of the first people to get better was Murphy and he also began to help.

"At this rate, there will be no one left to fight," Murphy observed.

"That's the point," Octavia said.

"Wait, I have an idea. Stay here, I'll be right back," I ordered.

"What's your idea, Athena?" Finn asked.

"I know a way to slow them down," I yelled back as I ran out of the dropship and looked for Raven.

I found her in a tent along with Bellamy, Monty, Jasper, and Harper.

"Hey, Raven. Remember that hydrazine we found at the crash site?" I asked.

"Yeah... What about it?" she asked, concerned.

"Do you think you can build a Raven specialty? Murphy said he crossed a bridge on his way back, sound familiar?" I smirked.

"A Raven specialty?" Bellamy asked.

"A bomb," Raven and I answered simultaneously.

Raven nodded and then I ran back to the dropship as she began to make plans. I busied myself with taking care of the ill as I awaited the news of Raven's return. Only a few teenagers had become somewhat healthy again but there weren't enough to help fight the Grounders.

After a few hours, I finally received word that Raven had returned. After making sure that Murphy and Octavia could take care of everyone, I ran to her tent and was greeted by Bellamy and Finn.

"We can't go in yet. She's putting it in a safer container," Bellamy informed.

"You can come in now!" Raven chirped from inside the tent.

The three of us stepped inside and surrounded the mason jar filled with the explosive, pink liquid.

"Boom!" Raven shouted from behind me and I shot her a dirty look, "Relax. It needs an accelerant--gunpowder," she grabbed a metal container and placed the mason jar inside, "Container of hydrazine. Put the gunpowder around the hydrazine. Hit the bullseye. Win a prize."

"It's the rest of our gunpowder. We won't be able to make any more bullets," Bellamy said.

"Tonight, we need a bomb," Finn defended, "We can worry about bullets tomorrow."

"If we do this and it doesn't work, we'll all be dead tomorrow," Bellamy pointed out.

The tent grew silent before Raven chimed in. "Then, let's make sure it works. Whoever takes the shot needs to be at least 200 feet away."

"No problem. Which one of you plants the bomb?" Bellamy wondered.

Finn, Raven, and I exchanged looks before I came to a conclusion. "I will."

"No. No way. You're important. You're our doctor. We can't risk losing you," Bellamy intervened.

"Clarke knows the same shit that I do. If I die after planting the bomb, then at least I saved your guys' lives. I can live-or die, I guess-with that. So let's-" I looked at Bellamy but noticed his nose had begun to bleed, a symptom of the virus, "Get to the dropship now. Don't touch anything."

"Who else can take a shot?" Finn asked.

"I'll do it. I'll plant it, run like hell and take the shot. I can do it," I said proudly.

We all shared worried glances and then nodded at each other in approval. "Make sure the bomb is packed and ready to go in ten minutes," Bellamy instructed as he walked out of the tent.

I followed closely behind. "Bellamy, you need to get to the dropship right now."

Bellamy shrugged and continued walking away from the dropship. He slowly started to sway back and forth and then he fell into a tent. I ran to him and helped him up. I put one his arms around my shoulders and dragged him into the dropship.

"Clear some space!" Octavia yelled as she noticed Bellamy and I.

I laid him down on an open area and rolled him on his side and he immediately threw up some blood. He rolled back over and I wiped the blood off of his face as Octavia grabbed a cup of water.

"I'm scared," Bellamy whispered.

"It's okay, Blake. Your sister is going to take good care of you. Get some rest and I'll talk to you as soon as I get back, okay?" I instructed.

Bellamy nodded slowly and then his eyes closed shut as he fell into a deep sleep. Octavia sat next to me and she gave me an update on the survivors and new symptoms she noticed. I told her how to handle them and then I left to join Finn at Raven's tent.

When I entered the tent, Finn was already there. Raven carefully gave us a pack that held the hydrazine, gunpowder and metal container. Before we left, Raven's nose began bleeding.

"Raven," I tapped under my nose to signal that she was bleeding, "Finn, take her to the dropship. I can make it on my own."

At first, Finn resisted but after a few minutes of convincing, he obliged. Raven and Finn left the tent together and I grabbed the pack and a gun. I ran through the dark forest with only a small light illuminating about two feet in front of me.

Around dawn, I reached the bridge. In the distance, war drums sounded and I could hear the faint fall of heavy footsteps. I ran towards the middle of the bridge and quickly built the bomb like Raven instructed. I started to run back just as I noticed the flames of the torches that the Grounders were carrying. I sprinted as fast as I could uphill and lined up my shot. When I knew I had my target in place, I waited a few more seconds to make sure I would injure as many Grounders as I could. Then, I pulled the trigger.

But, nothing happened except for the click sounds that signified that I had no bullets. With no other options except a match and some gasoline, I ran towards the bomb. Arrows whizzed by as I made my way into the open. I kneeled next to the container, opened it and then lit the match. I took a deep breath and got into runner's stance.

I threw the match into the container. The last thing I remember was tripping over my gun and then eternal darkness.
