I walked off the plane with an excited aura. I was finally here; California. This vacation was sure to be one of the best. When it was announced that VidCon would be in L.A. this year, my friends and I hurriedly bought our plane tickets and registered for a booth and panel.
I was first off my plane that day. Our tickets were first-class, and we all sat towards the front of the plane. My phone beeped, and I looked down at my screen. Strange; a text from Amber. I looked behind me. Surely they followed me out of the plane. I unlocked my phone and read the message.
Can you come and wake up your
lazy boyfriend?I sighed. No wonder they were taking so long.
As I re-entered the plane, I noticed my friends all huddled around the seat that was next to mine. As I walked closer, my friend's voices became clearer, and it was obvious they were all snickering and giggling.
I went and tapped Amber's shoulder, and she along with Leo, Liv, Alex, and Patrick turned around to see me, which caused my view to no longer be obstructed.
I quickly turned on my camera and began to record a very sleepy Dean. He sat in his seat with his laptop opened, which had shown TONS of opened tabs. "He's quite the heavy sleeper." Liv whispered, earning a chuckle from me in return. "We looked at the tabs," Alex said, "And it seems he was working on uploading a new video to the channel."
My friends and I own a YouTube channel called "Game Freaks" where we basically play a ton of multiplayer games like Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, Minecraft, GTA, etc. Occasionally we upload solo lets-plays or even double lets-plays, like the Pokemon series Leo and I recently started, or we play with fellow YouTubers like Markiplier.
The lens on my camera focused on the laptop. I shifted my camera to my left hand, now able to move my right hand freely. I had been recording vlogs for about two years then, so I basically mastered in holding a camera still in both my left and right hands. I closed Dean's laptop loudly, and it made a satisfying click. Leo and Patrick laughed like hyenas, and Amber elbowed them.
I handed my camera over to Liv so I could wake Dean up. I would have given it to Amber, but she was currently being floored by both Leo and Patrick, and Alex was busy prying them off of her.
As I shook Dean awake, Liv turned the camera to face where all the action was happening. I had finally awakened him, and Liv handed me back the camera, which I then turned off.
The plane seemed to be empty. As we all got up, though, we heard a familiar voice. "Hey guys, Sky here! I am just getting off the plane here in L.A. for VidCon! I..." He was cut off due to me running to the back of the plane and pouncing on him. "Adam! You're here!"
