Prologue.
All that escaped Paige’s lips this cold morning was a loud, long sigh. Paige honestly hated what she had gotten herself into. Doing drugs, partying, drinking and bombing shit wasn’t her idea of ‘fun.’ Paige was always a good girl. Her parents, always expect the best from her. They think she’s off at Harvard University studying to be a doctor. If they ever found out what Paige was really into, they would be crushed. Heart broken. Disappointed. It’s all because of the love she has for Jason. She adores him. His smile, his tattoos, his laugh, his hair, his arms, his voice, his abs, everything. To her, there isn’t a single flaw on that boy.
“Johnson, glad to see you here.” Jason greeted her, already rolling a blunt at only 8:45 am. “Tonight we’re going to a club, then tomorrow morning at 5:45 we’re heading straight to Compton, California. Pack your shit. You can stay here over night.” he winked at her. She sighed once again, running her fingers through her long, auburn hair. “Okay,” she started. “Wait. Compton, California? Are you fucking pyhsco Jason!?” Paige yelled. “Maybe I am, Paige. Maybe I am.” He smirked at her. “Jase, I cant do this. Its fucking Compton! C-O-M-P-T-O-N. The gangs there can easily fucking destroy us!” she yelled at him, tears of frustration running down her cheeks, bringing her makeup down with them. Jason got up, wrapping his arms around her.
“Paige, you’ll be okay. Why are you so scared?” he whispered. “I just want you to be safe. Not myself. I don’t care about myself right now Jason. I care about you guys. Compton has much more power over us. If something happens Jase, it’s over. We’re done. We’d be dead for fucks sake! Jason I cant do it. I just can’t. I’m sorry.” She stammered. “Paige Nicole Johnson, you’re doing this. You're sworn into this gang. And if you try to back down, we all agreed when we signed that contract that your ass gets fucking bombed. By us. That’s it. Do you want to do this, or not? Trust me P, the boys and I are experienced. We get this shit. We’ve talked to gangs that have came upon Compton’s gangs. They told us their ways. We’ll be fine. Please, Paige. Do this for me? Please?” He begged like a little kid in a toy store. “Fine…” she whispered. She couldn’t pass upon that offer. It’s not for the gang, it’s for Jason.
