It was a unusually warm April day in a small New York town. People were outside walking dogs and just enjoying the beautiful weather. In a large house, two twin sisters were having an argument.

"Cassie! Why're you always so annoying?!" screams Dakota.

"Why are you such a know-it-all?" Cassie shoots back.

"Girls! Stop arguing this instant!" their mom yells.

"Okay mom." both girls reply.

But as soon as their mom leaves, it starts again. Until Dakota storms out of Cassie's room and a door slams further down the hall.

"Ugh! Why does she have to be so annoying?" Dakota mumbles.

Her phone sitting on the bed buzzes with a text from her best friend Zoey, saying Hey meet me at the bakry. Dakota grabs a sweatshirt, ties back her long blonde hair and calls to her mom to tell her where she's going. Cassie hears this and thinks to herself, Why does Dakota have to be so popular, pretty, and smart. Why aren't I as good as her?

On her way to the bakery, Dakota thinks to herself, Why's Cassie so different than she used to be? What's going on that's making her personality change so much? When she gets to the bakery, she finds that Zoey and their other two friends, Lily and Sophie are already there and waiting for her. The group enters the bakery to see a group of boys from their school sitting in a corner booth.

Lily whispers, "Don't look at them, we don't want them to see us."

All four girls walk quickly and quietly to their usual window booth. But as Sophie is about to sit down, she drops her money and the coins roll all over the place.

"Too late, here they come," Lily whispers quickly

The group of boys make their way over to the girls and the group leader, Aaron walks up to Sophie and says, "Real smooth, wouldn't want you holdin' my money."

He then goes over to Dakota and says, "Hey, look who it is, Little Miss I'm so perfect and everyone loves me. Why do you have to be such a show-off?"

Zoey jumps in saying, "Look who's talking, why don't you just leave us alone? You're not wanted here!"

The four boys look at each other and smirk, but they walk away.

Later that night, both girls were watching the sky for shooting stars. After a few minutes a bright light streaks across the sky as fast as a rocket and at the same moment, both girls think I wish I could be anyone else. The world goes black and neither girl has time to do anything.

Cassie opens her eyes to find her on the ground with a girl that looks strangely like her lying on the ground beside her. Wait, what happened? Who's that? Why do they look just like me? Cassie looks down to see ten pretty and perfectly pink manicured nails and wearing a skirt, tank, and sandals. When have I ever worn sandals, and really a skirt? "Shoot, Dakota get up!!!" Cassie manages to shake her sister awake.

Dakota opens her eyes to see herself looking back at her. "Ahhh!! Don't hurt me!" As she raises her hands to shield herself from the thing in front of her, she notices the bitten and dirty nails. "Uh oh.." Dakota looks down to see herself wearing black jeans and a graphic t-shirt. "Am I you? And are you me?"

"I think so..." Cassie whispers.

"Wait, the shooting star... Did you wish?"

"Yeah...." Cassie answers.

"Okay, the wish must've came true."

"How're we gonna tell mom and dad?" Dakota asks.

"Let's not tell them at all," Cassie replies.
