"I don't know how to talk to you, I just know I found myself getting lost with you." Too Good - Drake

Scott sat Mitch down on the bed before sitting down beside him.

"Babe." Scott whispered, brushing Mitch's faded pink bangs out of his eyes.

Mitch hummed his response before standing up and walking over to the couple's shared closet.

He stood in front of the full length mirror and rubbed his bump, smiling slightly.

Scott walked over to Mitch and stood behind him, resting his hands on the side of Mitch's bump.

"What was that?" Scott asked, an unfamiliar sensation gliding across his hand.

Mitch smiled and look at Scott through the mirror, "It's baby peanut, waking up to say hello."

Scott gasped as he felt the sensation again.

"That's peanut kicking, baby. He likes you." Mitch said giggling.

Mitch turned around and Scott squatted slightly, just enough to be inline with the bump.

"Hi peanut." Scott said gently, a hand still sitting either side of Mitch's bump.

"I love you.. and I can't wait to meet you, little one."

It took a moment but the baby responded, by kicking twice.

Scott smiled before kissing the bump and began standing up.

"Daddies have to go and prepare your room now, sweetie. But we'll talk later, yes?"

Another kick.

"I love you, baby peanut."

And another.

Scott stood finally and kissed Mitch gently before giving him a pair of his own, oversized sweats before putting a pair for himself.

"Okay, let's get to work." Mitch said, putting his hands on his hips.

"Yes. Let's."

"But what if it's a boy? We should have blue." Scott said, lifting up the blue paint can in his hand.

"God, Scott. Stop going by gender roles." Mitch sighed. "We can either go for the pastel lilac or the pastel turquoise."

"Fine, let's go with the pastel lilac." Scott remarked, picking up the pastel lilac paint and the paint brushes and rollers.

Mitch smiled in victory and picked up a paint roller and a paint tray.

He poured some paint into the train and dipped the roller in, starting painting one end of the wall whilst Scott started on the other.

"Scott." Mitch said, in an almost innocent way.

"Yes, pumpkin?" Scott replied, continuing to paint his half of the wall.

"We should do like a cherry blossom tree painting on this wall and put the cot under the 'petals' which will be like little lights?"

"Is that a question?" Scott asked genuinely.

"No, but it was an idea."

"Okay. Fine. Just be careful, I don't want you hurt." Scott said before smiling to himself as he thought about becoming a father.

He would soon have a baby that he and Mitch would have to care for and he couldn't wait.

Scott must've been daydreaming because once his train of thought had cleared, Mitch had finished painting the tree and it had dried.

He was now holding the glue gun and was sticking pink and white fairy lights onto the individual petals.

Scott smiled at Mitch's concentrating face, his tongue was slightly sticking out of his parted lips and his eyebrows were slightly furrowed.

Scott turned back to painting and was onto the third wall when he heard Mitch sigh and turned around to see Mitch sitting roughly in the middle of the room.

"You okay, baby?" Scott asked, walking over to his husband.

"I'm just dandy." Mitch whispered, putting his hands on Scott's bare chest.

"How did I get so lucky to have someone as gorgeous and hot as you?" Mitch asked, almost like he was speaking himself, before pressing a kiss to Scott's neck.

He looked at Scott and smiled, patting his shoulder quickly, "Let me rest, get to work Mr. Gorgeous."

Scott chuckled at the nickname and stood back up and went back to painting.

As soon as he reached the end of painting the final wall, Mitch stood up and walked to the balcony where all the furniture for the nursery was.

In boxes.

Mitch lifted the box that was full of décor and things that would decorate the sleeping area of the baby whilst Scott lifted the box that the cot was in.

They walked into the room and Mitch sat the box down and stretched his back whilst Scott went to get all the other furniture.

Mitch moved the décor box to one side and pulled the cot box toward him as well as the tool box.

He began slicing open the box and first took out the manual before taking out the base and the planks of wood that would hold up the mattress.

Just as he finished pressing the planks into their slots, Scott came in with the final box and began slicing open the rest of the boxes of furniture.

Once everything was in place, Mitch decorated the place with small objects and pillows before filling the chest of drawers and wardrobe with baby clothes.

The couple stepped back and admired the view of what they had just created.

Scott was standing behind Mitch with his hands on Mitch's bump.

"It's beautiful." Mitch whispered.

"Like you." Scott answered before pressing several kisses to Mitch's neck.

Mitch hummed in pleasure before turning around and giving Scott a quick kiss.

He patted Scott's bulge gently before walking to the kitchen before calling,

"You can sort that problem out yourself."
