He cried. So many screams of agony. Not just any screams; his parent's screams. Some told him to run, some told him to hide. Some told him to help them, and yet he couldn't move his body. His seven-year-old body. A message wrote on his arm, his eyes watering with pain. The message. His parents had told him about it. It was what his soulmate would first say to him. "I'm Sorry. I Didn't See You There!".
He imagined meeting the perfect girl, her hair silky gold, her eyes a beautiful hue of blue. Her skin looked so soft-

Jason woke up with a jolt, his phone ringing obnoxiously next to him. He looked at it and inwardly groaned. It was his childhood friend, Valentine. She was nice and all, but still a bit loud and annoying. He picked his phone up.
"Hello?"
"Jason! Guess what? You'll get a chance to find your soulmate!" Valentine exclaimed.
He sighed.
"Valentine, I Don't Care For A Soulmate And You Know It-"
"But Jason! It's A Ball! There'll Be Princes, Princesses, All Kinds Of High Ranked People!"
"Fine...." He sighed and hung up.
"This is going to be a long night." He laid back down and went back to sleep.

~Time skippeh!!!~

A woman burned, her charred skin shiny. Her screams echoed in his mind. Again, some told him to run. Some to hide. Some to save her. The woman was his mother. So loud, so loud. Her screams haunted him. Even now. The scene shifted to his father. His death scene was different. He was stabbed repeatedly by assassins. Tears fell down the used-to-be prince's face. Now he was in hiding as a normal person. No longer having his social status, he ran. He ran into the forest as far away as he could. Jason turned back and watched with horror-filled eyes. His entire kingdom burned, screams of people on fire echoed to him. If the terrorists knew that he, the prince, were alive, the boy would surely be dead. He turned and continued to run as fast as his seven-year-old body could run. He tripped multiple times. He earned a lot of scratches and his clothes tore. He felt a burning sensation on his arm and looked at it. It was the same message as before; the one about his soulmate. He gasped for air, his sides hurting.

Jason woke up. He sighed. It was definitely going to be one long night.
