The forest is so green. The sky is a dazzling mix of reds, pinks, and oranges. I loved it here it was my escape. I always climbed this tree. I marked it with a little rose carved at its base. It was my tree. My lookout point.

The wind blew my ash black hair. I can almost hear yelling not to far away. No, no it's defiantly yelling. Or screaming. Great now I have to go to work. I jumped up and leaped from tree to tree. Until finally I was over the area the screaming was coming from. Glancing down I saw a familiar form. A man about 17. Dark reddish brown hair, darkly tanned skin, and a muscular build I didn't have to see his face. I know who he is. Brandon Cooper he collects souls for the darkness that creeps among us. God I hate his guts. I quickly jumped down from my safe place. Landing gracefully on my feet behind Brandon I tapped him on the shoulder. He stiffen for a moment. I watched as he sniffed the air before he turned around.

"Ahhh Rosey! How is my favorite little guardian?"

First of all that is not my name. It's Rosalynne or if you must Rose!

Secondly he knows I am a mute. As for the guardian part. That's what I am a guardian. I am a hybrid of the darkness and the light or as humans like to revere to them as angels and demons. Guardians are a mix of both.

"Still not speaking Rosey? Come on say one thing for me just say 'hi'." Brandon said cockily.

"Why don't you leave Rose alone?" Is that Corina?

"Yeah what did our little flower do to you?" Yup it's her and her boyfriend James.

They work with me. Corina Cooper, Brandon's sister, is a tall-ish girl with short brown hair and blue eyes. James as I said before is her boyfriend. Compared to me James is a giant. A giant with golden blonde hair and emerald eyes. He likes to call me his little flower, a little due to my name and the rest due to my special gift, and now he has almost all of the guardians calling me that. What a pain.

"Stay out of this sis." Brandon growled.

"No Brandon. You are in our district. This is a no hunting grounds for the darkness and the light. You must leave or face the consequences." Corina warned him.

"Okay okay but only because you guardians are stone cold killers when mad." Brandon waved his hand and the shadows engulfed him.

"Let's go home girls!!" Ugh James hurts my ears.

Slowly the three of us started to walk towards the base. The base is a large I

Half black half white circular building. It kinda looks like the yin and yang symbol. It was a massive building and housed many people. It's an interesting building. A peaceful building that that quite literally stands in the middle of nowhere. It was home though. Home is always worth the long walk from the lookout points.

There was a rustling sound right beside me. I stopped dead in my tracks. Staring at the area where the sound came from. I know the animal that made it I am taking care of her. The two people in front of me turned around simultaneously.

"Rose our you coming?" Corina asked softly.

I shook my head and point to were the sound came from. She nodded and they turned back around and left. I quickly kicked off my shoes and slid off my jacket. Running as fast as I could through the forest. Fallowing the vibrates of the animals paws, I have a special connection to nature, I quickly came across a cave small enough for a small bear to live in. That's exactly what lives here. It's a small little spirit bear the runt of the family. Like me. I am the runt of the guardians. I love my little bear I gave her a Latin name. Magna Anima. She has a massive spirit for a little bear I loved her dearly.

After my short little first with Magna I headed back to the base. It was already dark outside. The only light I had was the faintest bit from the full moon above my head. I knew the base was deep in the woods but the walk seemed longer in the late hours of the night. Not to mention the knowledge of the things that hid in the shadows. A rustling splits apart the silence of the night. It came from above. I threw my head back to she a light pink color floating down from above. Are those wings? N-yes, yes they are. And they belong to none other then Allycison. Allyc is one of the few "angels" I can stand. Not to sweet not to evil. To be honest I am amazed she wasn't selected as a guardian.

"Ah yes Rosalynne Violeta, if I recall." Bleh she is too formal, all the same I waved politely.

"Ms. Violeta I heard that one of those nasty little creatures came out of hiding and attacked in this general area. True or no?" If only I could talk.

"I don't like being called a 'nasty little creature' . What are you supposed to be a fairy godmother?" And he's back.

"So it was you who broke the laws placed to keep the balance?"

Yeah. It went back and forth with insults and what not. I'm not aloud to get involved until it gets violent. And three...two...one....and there off.

A storm of fire and ice engulfed the area. If only these two idiots could read my mind. They would be terrified. I engaged the guardian charm( we all have are own little charms hidden some where on our bodies mine is a rose on my hip) and joined the battle. A few minutes later Brandon was laying against a tree, poor kid must be seeing stars, and Allyc was back a few yards tied to a boulder. What? She wouldn't stop. Don't judge. There is a power up thing that happens as a bond between a guardian and there charm grow stronger. Turns out I was on the mark for one of those bad boys.

My eyes flared from a sapphire blue color to forest green but not just my irises but my entire eye turned green. Slowly but surely my body started to rise in the air. Green vines shot from the ground and wrapped around my ankles and wrists. My charm started to glow and the vines wrapped further around my legs and arms until soon my entire arms and legs were covered. My head flew back a small red light emitted from my chest. Then all at once it was over. Something was off. Looking down I saw a necklace loosely hanging from my neck. The pendent was a key but the top of it was a little glass rose with a red tint the chain was what looked like brass vines wrapped around each other.I looked back up and saw Brandon and Allyc staring at me. Brandon looked horrified. Allyc looked like she couldn't have been happier.

"What the hell just happened?!?!?" Brandon hollered

"The bond it grew!" Allyc replied.

"Wha?" Dang the kid must of hit his head hard.

"She grew stronger!"Allyc snapped," come on Rose I will give you a ride home."
