****THE BIG NEWS ****

"What!?"
I screamed at my parents as they told me the news.

"But sweetheart, it's for your own good. It's one of the best schools in the world and since your mom and I can afford it, why not?",
I heard my father say.

"Why not?! ARE you seriously asking me that!  You guys didn't even check with me before arranging this. What about my friends?!My life!? ",

I was livid at that point.

"Darling, your father and I have only your best interests at heart. Please don't try to fight us. We thought you'd be happy with this".

I shot my mom a dirty look.

" Exactly.you thought "

My world was falling apart as I looked at my parents with utter shock and revulsion then I stormed up the stairs to my room.

*************************
"Hey Dee, can you come fetch me? Use the back entrance ",
I said through the phone with my best friend on the other end.

"Why? Is something the matter ",
my best friend Dracula (whom I call Dee ) asked. I could hear her voice was frautic with worry.
"Just come Dee, I'll explain later. Make sure mom and dad doesn't hear you " I replied as I hung up.
I plopped my body on my bed.
Can this day get any worse...
**************************

About an hour later I was sprawled across my best friend Dracula's bed, crying my eyes out.

"They what!? ",Dee shouted as I told her the events of today.

"Yep, you heard right.  My dear parents who so claim that they love me are sending me to Merticula Est.High for my senior year. They kept going on and on about how brilliant the school is and how it's for my best interests. I mean what about what I want?! "I cried .

" Crissy darling don't cry. We'll find a way through this. Oh I know we could go to Merticular High and burn the whole place down that way the school will be gone and you won't have to move "

she said in her famous high pitched voice.

I chuckled at her atrocious manner of thinking . "OMG you're crazy Dee"
Next thing I knew a pillow was lunged on my face.
" Hey, at least I made you smile " was all she said.

At that moment I realised how lucky I was to have a friend like her. Dracula Thompson and I, Criselda Brown met on the first day of elementary school. All she had to say was "hi" in her always cheery voice and I was hooked. We became friends ever since. She had always been in my corner throughout the years. She was the one person apart from my parents I could truly count on. My move to Australia(where the school was situated) I knew would not affect only me but Dracula as well. Like all friendships ours was not perfect. Sure we've had our fair share of fights but we always got over it and forgave each other.
At that point I was determined to do anything in my power to convince my parents not to send me to this school.

For Dracula I would do anything. Anything at all.

Those were my last thoughts as I fell into deep slumber.
