  ''Fullmetal, You finally brought a report without me asking for it? That's a surprise.'' Roy Mustang said one morning when his small lover sat on his lap as he looked through the report with the small blonde huffing making a face. ''Shut it old man.'' The small alchemist said simply leaned back against the Flame Alchemist with the blonde Lieutenant walking inside serious faced as usual, ''Ah, so this is where you been? Your brother has been looking all over for you.'' She said. ''Ah... Sorry, I was just leaving a report with the Colonel.'' Edward said quickly, ''He took Hayate for a walk so he should be back in a bit.'' The blonde Lieutenant said noticing the small alchemist's bandaged cheek making her curious since he didn't have that when he had came back that morning. ''Edward, your face...'', ''Yeah, I was clumsy as usual...'' The blonde said with his usual smile surprising Riza at The Flame Alchemist who stood quiet since he always had something witty to say, ''...Well you need to be more careful. You want to go wait in the other office with everyone else?'' She asked just incase Roy wanted to get work done. ''Yeah!- ...I mean...'' Edward said but paused when sensing a familiar feeling hesitating for a moment since he was afraid to anger his Superior, ''Roy, can I go over with the rest of the team to wait for my Brother?'' He asked hearing Roy sigh as he looked over the report putting it down on his desk, ''Of course, It's fine Fullmetal.''Roy said before feeling a small kiss get planted on his cheek seeing the small alchemist jump off his lap and out the door. ''Edward is more excited than usual, Sir.'' Riza said looking over to Roy who just smiled a little, ''Really? He usually always like this.'' Roy said simply, ''Excuse me Sir, I'll let you finish your work.'' Riza said excusing herself to follow behind Edward who had waited for her, ''You didn't have to wait for me...''. ''But I wanted to.'' Edward said with his usual child like smile, ''Don't distract the Colonel too much, he needs to finish up his work.'', ''I won't...'', ''Edward, how is everything with you two?'' She asked seeing the small alchemist get quiet for a moment, ''Everything is fine. Everything is just perfect.'' He said with a small laugh. Riza looked unconvinced but accepted his answer entering the office where the rest of the team was and the suit of armor was waiting for him, ''Al!'', ''Oh look it's the Chief's pet. You had to ask for permission to come play with us again?'' Havoc said jokingly with Edward making a face at that moment, ''I'm joking Kid... No need to take it so personal.'' He said quickly. ''Besides you two are too perfect- Ah... What happened to your face? Did a book shelf fall on you again?'' He asked seeing Edward heave a sigh, ''Yeah... This morning...'' He said with Al just looking over to Riza who was looking at his brother a bit odd, ''You alright?'' Jean asked with a cigarette in between his lips, ''I'm Ok.'' Edward said with a smile before coughing the cigarette smoke hit his lungs, ''Ah Sorry!" Havoc said apologetically backing away. ''You know, I don't understand how a kid like you found a perfect relationship in someone you hated... I mean HATED.'' Havoc commented seeing Edward laugh unsurely, ''I don't know...'', "Hell, I'm jealous I can't even find a woman... Why can't I have a perfect relationship like you two?'' Jean said with a sigh, ''No you don't...'', ''Hmm? Did you say something?'', ''I didn't say anything!'' Edward said with a quick smile and laugh with Al and Riza looking at one another at that moment questioning what he had mumbled.
