It took all of Adrianna's strength not to physically groan out loud at how incredulously boring this lesson was.

You couldn't change her mind, chemistry was by far her least favourite lesson. It didn't matter if you tried to persuade her about how chemistry was powerful, she didn't care.

Adrianna wasn't like everyone else, bratty, popular and beautiful. Most of the time you would see her in the library, reading a book with her hoodie on.

She was quiet, that's how she preferred it; not to be a snobby fifteen year old girl who's daddy gives her everything.

She scoffed at the thought. Her 'daddy' wasn't around to do that anyway, as Adrianna felt her eyelids closing, she just realised how much she despised teachers.

"Adrianna!" The shout woke her up immediately. "What do you get when you mix hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide?"

'Only Albert Einstein would know what', she thought to her self as she scanned every bit of information that resided on the white board.

Soon, she was fed up and gave the simple answer, "I don't know Miss Barnit."

The whole class sniggered and Adrianna turned away in embarrassment. She was smart, but not that smart.

"Detention." She stated.

Adrianna took a double take, detention? What for?

"What for Miss Barnit?"

The teacher turned away and went back to the whiteboard, scrubbing off the old information.

"For not listening in my class and for sleeping, show up in my classroom at the end of the day. You will serve a one hour detention."

Adrianna shook her head in disbelief, she hadn't had a detention since year 7, which was three years ago.

Deciding not to make a big deal out of it, Adrianna grabbed her pen and started noting down the information Miss Barnit had told them to write.

Adrianna never got into trouble, she was quiet and minded her own business. Why the teacher gave her a detention and not one of the rude students was beyond.

Without missing a beat, the door suddenly opened and in came one of the most baddest, dangerous and scariest student in the school.

Chloe Jones had always been a bad student, when her and Adrianna met it was brief because they were polar opposites. They had met in year seven.

Chloe always caused destruction in school, whether it was the attitude towards the teachers or the fights to the other students.

"You're late, Miss Jones." The teacher sighed, this wasn't unusual for Chloe, who was late to every lesson.

"Yeah, no Shit Sherlock." Chloe replied sarcastically. This was the usual for Chloe, she sat down at her desk in the back.

Miss Barnit just looked like she had gotten slapped, "no foul language will be allowed in my lesson, Chloe. Detention tonight, you will be joining Adrianna."

Chloe just chuckled, once Miss returned to teaching her lesson, Chloe turned around to look at Adrianna.

She just smirked, winked and turned around again. Adrianna had no idea what just happened, but her cheeks were turning red at blushing.

She slightly smiled and realised the butterflies in her belly weren't going away.

       What was that?
