It was magnificent. A breathtaking sight to see. The whole castle was huge and the towers where so tall. The gothic architecture was so well built and the sunset made the whole scene look like a master painting.

When they finally arrived they where taken to small boats since they were first years. They walked in the great hall and stood at the front waiting to get sorted. Nova stood next to Amber and Jasper. Her palms sweaty and hands shaking like crazy.

"Goodwin, Cleo" the hat barley hit her head before yelling "GRYFFINDOR" the hall was very loud applause for her all the way to her seat.

"Green, Amber" she gave Nova a worried look before running up. It though and then "SLYTHRIN" a grin spread across her face before running to that side of the room and applause

"Green, Jasper" the hat had to wait a second but soon yelled "SLYTHRIN" he smiled and ran to his sister. After a couple more people she heard "Mistly, Nova" she started twords the hat. As she headed up she heard wispers all around her. She brushed her hair over as much of her scar as she could.

The hat was placed on her and it started talking. "So i see you are brave but you are also ambitious. Yet you hold a strong place for your friends. I dont see Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. So lets see here." After what seemed like an eternity the hat choked out "i..i cant...cant sort you" suddenly loud talk spread all across the hall. Magonall took the hat and asked "are you sure you cant place her are you feeling ok"

The hat replied "i am fine but she is not sortable she is to complex to correctly sort her."

During all this Nova was still on the stool with her head down so no one could see her face. While chatter was happening all around her she sat silently.

"Children quite we need to be quite!" yelled the elder witch.

"Minivera i think its her the one 'she will not be sorted but choose' let us just hope she chooses the right house"

"I sopose your right vera lets hope. Nova because you could not be sorted you will choose your house keep in mind this could shape your future so choose wisely"

Nova looked at Gryfffindor. And saw cleo smirking at her. The lot of them seemed to loud and obnoxious for her. Next Hufflepuff they looked liked good people, nice, and caring. But to nice for her. She saw Ravenclaw and the carrow twins but there not for her. Finally Slythrin. And at the table sat the only people she cared about in this whole place.

"Slytherin is where I choose" the Slytherin table cheering for her as she sat.

"Do you think we already lost the war Minivera"

"She may be in their house but something tells me she is different. Let us hope it is a good different"
