Chapter 34

Jack looked around for his three friends. He paced quickly around, occasionally jumping high into the air to get a better view of the area.

"Rapunzel? Hiccup! Merida? Where are you guys?" He called. He turned around and found Merida on the ground. She was curled in a ball. "Merida? Where's Rapunzel and Hiccup?"

"Get out!" Merida yelled. He hands were clenched fists. She had them at her temples. She started screaming. Jack stepped back. Suddenly he turned to see Hiccup in a corner. He was the same as Merida but sitting up.

"Toothless, no, no!" Hiccup murmured. Jack suddenly heard Rapunzel scream. He ran to where he ears the scream. Rapunzel was holding her legs to her chest. She rocked back and forth. Tears streaked her face as she cried.

"Rapunzel, Rapunzel can you hear me? Snap out of it! Wake up! You've got to wake up!" Jack yelled at Rapunzel. He went to shake her but his hands went right through her. He stepped back. All breath Jack had, left his body. He fell over from the shock and landed in Hiccup. Jack jumped up at the fact of him falling through both Rapunzel and Hiccup. He stepped through Merida. He kept trying to avoid stepping through them. Suddenly Jamie appeared.

"Jack?" He asked.

"Jamie?" Jack said. He ran to Jamie but went through him.

"No, Jack Frost isn't real, what are you talking about?" Jamie said. Jack fell to his knees.

"What? Why doesn't anyone see me?" Jack wheezed. He wrapped his arms around his legs and pulled his knees up to his chest. He started to cry.

"Jack?" He heard. "Jack wake up." Jack opened his eyes. Rapunzel was looking wide eyed at him.

"What?" Jack said hazily.

"You were mumbling in your sleep." She said quietly.

"Oh, sorry if I woke you up." He replied.

"No, you didn't. I was awake." She said.

"Couldn't get to sleep?" He asked. Rapunzel nodded.

"What was your nightmare about?" She asked. Jack shook his head.

"Nothing, don't worry about it." Jack said. Rapunzel nodded. She cuddled closer to Jack.

"Should we get going?" Jack asked. Rapunzel shook her head.

"No, let them sleep. We'll need all the rest we can get." Rapunzel said sleepily. She yawned and wrapped her arms around Jack. "Night."

"Goodnight." Jack said. He kissed Rapunzel's forehead. "Love you." He whispered.

"Love you too." She whispered back.
