“Was it really necessary for you to carry me to your car?” Caroline asked, getting out of Klaus’ car. In front of her was the giant Mikaelson house. It was a rather nice house and if the Mikaelson family didn’t live in it, Caroline would outwardly speak about her love of this house. But this was Klaus; she didn’t want to make his head any bigger, so she kept the love of the house to herself.

“Only the best for you, love,” Klaus spoke, making a pink blush appear on Caroline’s face. Following Klaus in through his front door, Caroline eyes widened as she looked at the grand interior in front of her, she really did love this house.  Losing herself in the design she heard someone cough, pulling her out of her thoughts. Klaus looked at her smirking, “I think I lost you for a second there.”

“Oh, I’m sorry, did you say something?” Caroline asked, she still hadn’t moved from her spot in front of the large, front door, too mesmerized to move.

“I was just saying that you are allowed to walk inside the house. You don’t have to just stand there,” Klaus stated. “Besides I wanted to show you something anyways, is that okay with you?”

Caroline shrugged, “I guess, I mean I am here right now, aren’t I?”

“Alright then, follow me.”

Slowly, Caroline followed Klaus up the winding staircase, feeling a bit nervous. Here she was, casually in her enemies’ house, following him up the stairs. What could happen once she got up these stairs? Caroline inwardly groaned, why would she do this to herself? She had probably just walked into a trap! Now she would die and no one would even care because it wasn’t like she had friends anymore! Could she even call them her friends? Caroline couldn’t help but feel a headache coming on as she overthought everything.

“Well here we are,” Klaus announced, opening the door to an unknown room.

Caroline gasped as she saw all of the artwork scattered across the room. There were canvas’ leaning against the walls, and the smell of wet paint was subtle in the room. Throwing her bag on the floor, she made her way to the artwork.

"Klaus, these are amazing! How long did it take for you to acquire all of these?” Klaus watched from the doorway as Caroline walked around the room bringing her hands up to carefully graze the surface of the paintings.

Chuckling Klaus replied, “See darling, I didn’t buy, steal, or trade for them in any way. I made them.”

"You made these?!” Caroline asked in shock, turning quickly to face him. “How did you, the evil hybrid vampire thing, make these!?” Caroline questioned, her eyes widened.

“I suppose it was just talent. Here, sit on the bed,” Klaus pointed to the other side of the room.

“Wait! Is this your-”

“Bedroom, yes Caroline this is my bedroom; now go sit on the bed please. I want to try something.”

"But I don’t wanna,” she muttered, sounding rather childish.

“Why? I just want to try and draw you, it’s not like I’m here to murder you or anything,” Klaus said matter-of-factly. But he could catch Caroline flinch when he mentioned any topic of murder. Smirking he figured out why she didn’t want to sit on the bed or probably be in this house in the first place. He could feel how nervous she was just as they were coming up the stairs.
