Ashlynn POV

Hi , My Names Ashlynn but some people call me Ash. I am 17 years old and live in California. I go to North West High School where i am a A+ student .Im not a nerd i just have always tried my hardest to impress my parents and to not let them down.My 4 best friends i have know for life also go there . There names are Joey Blake, Kaylee and Zach .  Todays Monday ,Its only 7am and my days already going terrible . My parents just told me they are getting a divorce . I thought my family was really close but mum told me things just wernt working out . 

After they told me i immediately walked out of the house ignoring my parents calls and started walking to school . I cant cry , not now . I have to stay strong. 

I arrived at school and walked over to my friends .

"Hey" they all said as i sat down .I put on a fake smile and they continued talking .

I went on my phone and checked instagram . When i was done i put my phone away and snapped back to reality . Suddenly i felt a hand on my waist . I flinched because it scared me .

" Sorry i didnt mean to scare you ". I looked up to see Blake sitting next to me. Me and Blake used to date but we ended it when we decided it was best to just be friends . Its not awkward between us at all . Hes like my brother . I know weird right.

" Hey whats up ?" He asked looking worried.

" Nothing " i replied turning to him .

" I know your lying Ash. I can tell when somethings bothering you ." he admitted .

" I dont want to talk about it " I said as i looked away . 

Blake got up and walked over to Kaylee. He whispered something i her ear as he walked off .

The bell rang and i got up to walk to roll call. Kaylee was in my roll call class as well as Zach.

"Hey boo" Zach said jokingly sitting down next to me . 

" Hey " i replied .

" Look we have all noticed the big grey cloud thats been hovering over you all morning , whats up? " he asked trying to help.

" My parents ....." I tried to say before getting interrupted by the schools bitch Caitlyn . 

" Your parents are over , divorced , done , you got no family now do you Ash" she said fake pouting.

" What?!" i said to Caitlyn.

"Oh come on dont play dumb . Wanna know how i know ? My mother is dating your father . See you at dinner tonight sis." she said before flicking her hair and walking off. 

I sat there in shock . I should of let my parents finish explaining why they were getting a divorce .Out of all the people why Caitlyn . Now she will treat me like even bigger shit and more often . Great .( notice the sarcasm)

" Ash whats going on what was she talking about ? " Kaylee asked confused . 

" Ash ?" Zach said waving his hand in front of my face .

"I-i-i have to go . " I said before getting up and running out of the classroom . Tears started streaming from my eyes . Why would my father do this to me , to us . I was running throught the halls keeping my head down when i ran into someone .I fell straight onto my butt. 

" Oh i-imm sorry " i said stuttering from crying . I got up and looked at who it was .I recognized him from around school . Geo he calls himself . Pretty sure hes that student that hardly ever goes to class and is on the footy team . I mainly know of him because Caitlyn is always following him around , she has a major crush on him . His brown eyes stared into mine . 

I stared to run away not wanting him to see me cry when he grabbed both my elbows and pulled me back to face him .

"Hey are you okay ?" he asked 

"ASHLYNN!" someone yelled through the halls . I looked up to see Blake running towards me .Zach or Kaylee must have texted him to come find me .I dont want to explain to him now .

"Im sorry i have to go " i said to Geo before escaping his grip and running out of school.
