Chapter 6: The Cinematic Turnabout ~ Part 6 (Arena's PoV)

I don't normally lose my cool in these situations, but since I found out what happened with Lily yesterday it's put me a little on edge. "Hey... Arena?"

I hear a soft voice calling out to me and turn to the left and see my girlfriend holding onto my hand. "What is it?"

"Are you nervous?" She looks up at me with her light brown eyes and I can't help but nod ever so slightly.

"It's rather o-odd seeing you a-act like this, you almost always c-calm." She frowns. "B-but don't worry! You'll get out of here before you know it." Having her say that makes me feel a lot better, thank you Aya.

Other then myself and my pink haired girlfriend no one else has turned up yet which let me tell you, concerns me more then a bit. "I'm sure they will be here soon." I tell myself and if on que.

"Good morning!" Lily comes bouncing into the room along side Kyo and Sky. Considering what happened yesterday I'm more then a little surprised Lily seems so joyful. "We're going to prove you innocent before you know it!"

"Thanks..." I smile. "But how come Sky's here?" I ask looking at the man with the red hair.

"Roberto - I mean, Mr. Shield put me on guard duty." So this is the aftermath of yesterday's advents. "I'm to make sure that Detective doesn't get too close to my Lily... And the others!"

"I see..." I mutter I know it's getting closer, where my freedom is decided. Lily and Kyo will do fine. I hope.

"DEFENCE, DEFENDANT!" A Bailiff calls out. "The trial will begin shortly, please make your way to the Court Room!" Aya holds onto my hand tighter whilst mouthing 'I don't want you to go'. I pull her into a tight hug. The others nod at me and go on ahead.

"I don't want to go either..." She embraces me in response. I then feel a hand on my shoulder, I hope it's someone such as Lily but it was the one person I didn't want to see, Detective Leslow.

"No more messing about, Ryan!" He forces me off Aya and puts a pair of handcuffs on my wrist and begins to drag me out of the room.

"ARENAAAAAA!!" Aya cries out to me.

- Court House ~ Court Room No.1 -

Just before we get in the court room the Detective takes off the handcuffs and I walk into the Witness Stand. I look around and see crowds of people in the gallery I recognise a few faces: Ms. Starr, Ms. Tenniswood and of course Sky.

But among the crowds of people, just like Roberto had said. There are many reporters with notepads and cameras; I feel a lump form in my throat and gulp. The Judge then bangs down his gavel, it pieces the air and admittedly there is silence.

"Court is now in session for the trial of Arena Ryan, Defence are you ready?" His voice is stern and clear.

"My Shield of justice is ready, My Lord!" She says with a large amount of determination, which makes me feel much better.

"Very well, and the Prosecution?" Roberto shakes his head.

"Who do you think I am? Hump, I wouldn't be here if I weren't." Sweat falls down the side of the Judge's brow.

"Quite right, Sir." He nods and then begins to speak up again. "Then we'll hear Prosecutor Shield's opening statement."

"Very well," Roberto sighs. "the victim was a one Lizzy McGreen, a famous actress from the film 'Blue Space Moon'. She was found murdered in Wayway Cinema, the weapon was the sharp pointed end of an umbrella which was found stabbed into the victims neck."

"An... U-umbrella!?" The Judge lets go of his cape of professionalism and his eyes grow wide.

"Yes, an umbrella." Roberto shakes his head. "Which did in fact, have the Defendant Arena Ryan's finger prints on!" The people in the gallery all gasp and start chanting things like 'lock them up' and 'murderer' and reporters scribble down on their notepads. I notice many of the people who are chanting these things have Blue Space Moon shirts on.

I know Roberto is only doing his job and that he said if I was truly innocent the truth would prevail but he didn't have to say that so enthusiastically. "I'm sure there is a reason for that!" Lily then shouts and everyone turns to look at her.

"Do you know this reason, Ms. Shield?" Roberto asks, it feels odd him calling his sister that.

"Well... No," She doesn't sound as confident now. "but just you wait, I'll find it!" The Blue Space Moon fans are now chanting even louder.

"Put them in jail!"

"They should die!"

"How dare they kill my favourite, actress?!"

"ORDER! ORDER!" The Judge bangs his gavel relatively. "Who let all these crazed fans in here!?" From the corner of my eye I see Detective Leslow smirk slightly, it was him. But I can't say anything that would make me look even MORE suspicious.

"I don't actually know, Your Honour. If they don't want me to smash their faces in then they should SHUT IT!" Everyone goes dead silent as Roberto slams his fist against the desk in front of him (which sounds like it's going to brake in repose). "Good."

Even the Judge looks startled, honestly everyone does apart from myself, Lily and Kyo the emo girl. "T-thank you for that, Prosecutor Shield."

"Don't try to make me go on your good side, Judge." He glares in the Judge's direction, oh right he doesn't like Judges, because his Father was one.

"I-I wasn't trying to do that, Prosecutor Shield." They were right, he is fearsome in court.

"You better not have been. Or else you're dead." He crosses his arms across his chest, isn't there some sort of rule against him threatening the Judge...?

"U-um... Let's begin the trial properly," The Judge bangs his gavel. "if you would call your first witness."

"Hump... Very well, the Prosecution calls Detective Leslow to the stand." Not him, he seriously hates me.

"Very well, Detective Leslow please make your way to the stand." Two Bailiffs follow me to the Defendant chair and the Detective goes over to the Witness Stand.

"Name and occupation." It's clear from the way Roberto is talking and acting towards the Detective, he hates him.

"Yes Prosecutor Shield." The Detective bows his head. "Yoshiki Leslow, I'm a Detective." He winks and I hear several swoons from men and women alike come from the gallery, I don't understand this guy.

"Tell us about this case." Is all Roberto says, the Judge (once again) bangs his gavel and the trial officially begins.

I'm scared for life, my eyes- Whoops. Well today has most certainly been intreating to say the least 'but Lily, why did the update take so long' I hear you ask. Well... I ended up ranting, making rubbish songs, RPing so yeah.
