As the end of March arrived, Kyline felt the same since she was grounded. She lost her self esteem. Their last moment together was at Christmas party. Her secret santa was Darren. He gave her nothing but a small grey box (the reason why they had their first kiss) & a letter. And she exchanged gifts with Twittle. She decided to give back the t shirt Twittle gave her on her birthday.
Dear Kyline,
Nabasa ko yung letter mo at naiintindihan din kita. Nawalan ako ng mood nung binasa ko yun kaya hindi kita pinapansin. Kaya since hindi ka pwedeng makipagusap sa'min, eto na yung mga last (written) words ko para sa'yo. Tungkol nga pala sa binigay kong box, sigurado akong naaalala mo pa yan. Ngayon, I dare you to open it and wear it. Hayaan mo na, meron din ako. Ganun din yung itsura. Hindi ko sayo agad binigay kasi naghahanap pa ako ng tamang oras. Yun lang ang masasabi ko. Thank you na lang din.
She stared at her ring one last time. She then removed it and put it inside the box.
And there, she folded the letter and fell asleep with it beside her.
[next day]
Today was their moving day. She had already packed all her stuff, still wearing her necklace and ring. She was still hurt and slightly happy for herself. She'll be starting a new life. But didn't even said goodbye to the gang. Her mom once caught her texting while reviewing so she forced herself to delete her friends' numbers. But there's no turning back. She's already in their car, a few more kilometers until they'll be at their condominuim in Manila.
When they arrived at their condo unit, Kyline smiled a bit. They unpacked their things. She decided to look around the building to make new friends. She used her skateboard to roam around. As she boarded her skateboard, she saw someone also using a skateboard. And she decided to approach to that person.
"Hello? Kilala po ba kita?" the girl asked politely.
"Umm... kakalipat pa lang namin. Bago kami sa neighborhood."
"Ah... welcome sa neighborhood! Hehehe. Ako nga pala si Evanna. O kaya Anna, Eve, Eva (pronoucation: eyva) or Vanna ikaw na bahala kung ano gusto mo itawag sa'kin. Marami akong nicknames eh hahaha."
"Vanna na lang para unique hehehe. Pwede ding Eva. Kyline nga pala. Kahit Kai na lang. Ikaw na lang din bahala."
"Okay! Sooo... gumagamit ka din pala ng skateboard?"
"Ah oo! Binigay lang sa'kin ng kaibigan ko."
"Waaa! Friendship goals! Hihi!"
"Pero nandun sila sa Bicol. Hindi naman sa iniwan ko sila, umm... trabaho kasi ni papa."
Kyline got hurt in mentioning her old friends to a new one.
"Ah... pwede ko nga bang kunin yung number mo? Para maging close din tayo."
"Sige!"
They exchanged phone numbers and said their goodbye's.
Kyline was still happy when they were at Bicol. She was hoping that they could still see each other at college.
She used her skateboard to go back home. Still hurt.
