Missing

Alden panicked when he got home at 3pm and discovered that his wife was nowhere to be seen. He looked literally everywhere--in the bedroom, in the bathroom he even checked the closet for pete's sake just to if Maine was just playing a trick on him.

He tried to dial her number but it was out of coverage area.

"Fuck, Maine where are you?!"

He muttered as he dialed his in-law's number, her sisters' numbers, her yaya's, her PA's anyone he could think of.

Disappointment and frustrations was all over his face when no one could answer his simple question--where the heck is Maine?

He walked to the kitchen just to get something that would quench his thirst. He's exhausted from running all over their house and calling everyone on his address book.

Before he could open the fridge, there he saw a note. It was Maine's handwriting. He's sure we could recognize it even a thousand miles away.

"RJ, I have been given the opportunity to be who I really want to be. I'm sorry for not letting you know about this but I left to chase this dream of mine. All the love, Maine"

Those words was meant to explain why she'd gone but hell, it even made him confused more.

He didn't understand a single word of it. Ano bang pangarap yon? Ano pa bang hindi niya natutupad?

And why did she had to leave? He could've supported her kahit ano pa yun.

They would have gone through this together. Hindi ganto, hindi dapat ganto.

He sat on the sofa with both hands covered in his face. Frustration, hurt, and confusion wrapped all in one. This was all too much for Alden.

He was lost in his thoughts when someone popped up from the front door.

He turned his head on where the door is, and there she is. His wife, slowly walking from the door not even minding her steps, she was devotedly staring at her phone.

"MAINE!!!"
He shouted and heading to her direction in the fastest way that he can.
"AY RATATA!!!---ANO BA RJ GINULAT MO KO!!"

"Ano okay ka lang ba Maine? May masama bang nangyari sa'yo?"

RJ said while checking every part of her body to see if something has happened.

"Ha? Wala naman, okay naman ako"

"SAAN KA BA NAMAN KASI GALING? Pinagalala mo ko?"

"I left you a note in the fridge, didn't you read that?"

Maine said and switched her attention to her phone again.

"Yes, pero di ko--"

"RJ TABE!!"

"Ha? Ano?"

"TABE!! MOVE!!"

"Bakit--"

Before he can even say anything, she pushed him as if she was following something on her phone.

"There you go!!" Maine happily stated.

"Maine ano bang nangyayari sayo?"

"Oh sorry. Oh yun nga, I left you a note naman!"

"Yeah, you said you would follow a long life dream, what do you mean ba?"

Maine's phone produced a playful sound.

"Oh my gosh RJ, I just reached level 5!! Now, I can make laban na"

"Ano bang--"

"Here's my long life dream kasi."

Maine said, then showed her phone to RJ, and yep her long life dream is..

"Be a pokemon trainer?"

"Yep 😬😬😬😬😬😬" Maine replied giddily.

"So you left just to catch them all? Wait, did you drive?"

"Uhhhh, yes. Anong gusto mo? Magcommute ako? Hayy RJ. My typical, RJ"

"While playing pokemon go?!!"

"I WAS A PASSENGER!"

Alden chuckled, he's happy to see this kiddy side of Maine. Its her side that only he can see, and it was more than enough.

He moved closer to Maine, lifted her chin an gave her a peck in the lips.

"Next time, you will tell me ha? Para  di naman ako nag-aalala sa mag-ina ko"

RJ said, referring to their little bump, now 4 months.

"Babe?"
Maine said in a soft, girly tone

"Yes love?"

"Ice cream please?"

"Hahahahaha. My wife is too cute to resist"

RJ went to get his keys and came right back after.

"Let's go. Let me drive while you catch your pokemon on the way. Just tell me to stop if you ever see one, okay?"

Maine just smiled from ear to ear. He did promise to support her with everything right?
