"Wake up. It's about time we move out. I don't want to stay in one place for too long." said a black cloaked girl with long wavy matted light brown hair as she lightly shook her companion.
A small very dark grey cat purred as it turned away from her.
"You're really lazy sometimes you know that Grimoire." she asked with grin as she picked him up and set him on her shoulder.
"Well since I already have my bag with you we're ready to take off." She stated as she started to walk north through the woods that they were camping in.
She continued until something hit her like a brick wall and caused her to stop in her tracks.
The grey companion tilted his head and looked up.
"I just realized that I haven't heard any sounds of the usual forest life for the last five minutes." She replied as she slightly tensed up and continued.
Grimoire rolled his eyes as if saying; You're just being paranoid after hearing that dark warriors are after you."
"No. there is definitely something off about all of this. I want you to be ready to take off at the first signs of trouble." She said as she started to scan the trees around them.
"Darn it!" She mumbled under her breath. "They've finally found us and now we're surrounded." Mira felt him curl up behind her legs.
"I am sick of running buddy. This is where I end this game of cat and mouse." stated Mira.
"I couldn't agree with you more on that one, Moonshadow." said a man as he came out of the tree. Her eyes were locked on to the seal of his uniform. The Empire Symbol. "Oh the sneaky fellan... A true danger to the Empire. Major General Derrick, not at your service.
The Empire. It's majorly known as a superpower that has lasted for more than a 1000 years. It boasts its vast territories and resources. In the heart of it was Aries, an enormous city surrounded by a wall. At the centre of it all was the District Palace. There are various districts that are separated by large canals in which trade ships run through. Beyond the capital the country seems to be mostly rural with an unknown number of cities and villages spread throughout. The current Emperor of the Empire; a man who created a major decline of the empire, increase in government corruption, an economic recession, eroding public order, rampant poverty and great dissatisfaction amongst the people. With many possible threats, there were many from the District Army, including the five generals.
"I think you might have the wrong idea of who's the cat in this situation." Mira still grinning.
"I'm fairly sure that I don't , and do you know why that is?" he asked with a smirk now on his face.
"I'd have to say you think you are because you think that since you have fifty other warriors surrounding me I'll be the one on the run. But that isn't going to happen, and you all chose a really bad time to do this." replied Mira.
"So what they say about your senses is true, but a bluff is still a bluff. And I really don't care why this is a bad time for you since you're going to be sleeping with the fishes soon." said the man as a few more men revealed themselves.
This caused Grimoire to take off.
"Unless you want to get 3rd degree burns on you, I suggest you leave."
The man snorted as dark figures appeared from behind.
"So many people but the more they are the more fun we have right?" Mira smirked.
