Narrator:
"Room 207", Brayden mumbled as she walked through the seemingly endless hallway.
She was just moved here to her new university in Sydney, Australia. About three months back, both of her parents had died in a tragic car crash. Brayden missed both of them and thought about them all the time. There wasn't one day that passed by that they didn't cross her mind. She felt helpless without them. She had even been to rehab for a while for attempting to commit suicide. She was all alone. Brayden felt a tear fall down her cheek as she thought about it.
Suddenly, Brayden felt herself trip and braced herself for the impact her face hitting the floor.
Just at that moment she felt a pair of arms around her as she was being caught.
She turned around to see a tall guy standing behind her. She quickly wiped her tear off of her cheek, hoping he didn't see her crying.
Brayden wasn't much of the girl to gawk at cute guys, but he was incredibly hot. He was wearing a muscle shirt with the logo of the band, Kiss, and a pair of black skinny jeans with black Vans.
He had a lot of tattoos and a few piercings. She wasn't really fond of tattoos and piercing, but they were really nice on him.
Brayden blushed slightly as she caught a glimpse of his biceps.
"You alright?" he asked worriedly.
"Uh... Yeah, thanks",she replied, blushing even more, embarrassed that he caught her staring.
"Anytime", he said. "My name's Ashton, what's yours?" he said with a cheeky grin, showing off his dimples.
"Brayden."
"Well Brayden, maybe you should be a little more careful", Ashton said with a wink of his hazel-green eyes.
God, the dimples were back.
"Yeah, I guess so", she said laughing slightly.
This was the first time she'd shown any happiness since the wreck.
He smiled at her and added, "Need some help there?"
"Sure, I'm looking for room 207- wait, this is the girls dorm."
"Yeah, I know my way around here pretty good," he replied.
Brayden shot Ashton a funny look and he said, "Kidding."
She just smiled and shook her head. What was this feeling she had inside her?
She loved the way he made her blush whenever he said something. She didn't even know him and yet he made her feel happy and safe.
"Okay this is it. Room 207. Need anything else?"
"No, thanks, I think I got it from here", she replied.
"Okay. Well I guess I'll see you around then?"
"I guess so", she said smiling.
"Alright, bye then Brayden", Ashton said waving.
"Bye."
Brayden wasn't ready to say goodbye yet though.
The rest of the day, Brayden unpacked her things. She couldn't help but think about Ashton. He just made her feel so different than any other guy had before.
Brayden knew she wanted to know him better.
Since it was getting late, Brayden hopped in the shower. She took a quick ten minute shower, enjoying the warm water hitting her skin. She got out and put on a t-shirt and some shorts as her pajamas.
She heard a knock on the door and went to go answer it.
When she opened the door she was shocked to see Ashton standing there.
"Hi", he said with that same smile.
"Hey, what's up?"
He seemed kind of nervous and started rubbing his neck and then he spoke up. "Are you busy tomorrow night? I know we just met, but I thought maybe we could go out to eat out at this fancy restaurant."
"No, I don't think I'm busy. I would like that", Brayden replied.
"Ok so I'll pick you up around seven?"
She just nodded her head and smiled.
"See you then", Ashton said.
"Great."
"Bye, Brayden", he said sweetly.
"Bye, Ashton."
Brayden watched as he happily walked away.
"I think I'm going to like this school", Brayden said to herself.
She fell asleep, wondering how her date with Ashton would go tomorrow.
