Chapter 6 - Secrets

Mommy's POV
Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, Why did I bring up Dakota in the conversation!! No one knows besides Billy and Annie's cousins and aunts and uncles. Now I have to tell her.
"Annie, 3 years before Caleb was born, after me and Billy just got married, we adopted an 11 year old girl named Dakota. She was beautiful. She was a level 8 gymnast. You would've loved her, Annie." I then started getting teary-eyed. "So a month after we adopted her*sniff* we decided to take her to a nearby waterpark with diving boards, so she was gonna do a back full of the board, and *cries* she didn't have enough power, and she hit her neck on the diving board, and she was paralyzed. She fell in the water, and since she was paralyzed she couldn't get out without help, and the place had STUPID life-guards who didn't do her job, so she *cries* drowned." I cried.
Annie's POV
Dakota was a kid Mom and Dad ADOPTED? I asked them if they ever adopted anyone besides animals, and they said no. They lied to me. But, I don't care right now. "M-Mom, I'm so sorry." I said, sniffling. "Don't be *cries* it wasn't your fault." She said. Then Daddy whispered something in her ear.
Mommy's POV
"Katie, tell her about Roy," Billy whispered in my ear. Oh right, Roy. I forgot about him.
"Annie a year after Dakota died, me and Daddy had another baby. We named him Roy. And *cries* when he was only 3 months old, he died of HCM, or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, the same thing Caleb *cries* had."
Annie's POV
Wait, so if Dakota, Roy, and Caleb were alive, we would be a family of 10??? I never knew Mom and Dad lost 2 children before Caleb and Hayley.
Mommy's POV
Oh, I just remembered about the baby that lived for a day, Lorelai. "Also, a week after Roy died, I got pregnant again. And the day after she was born, she was so weak she died." I said. Billy told her that her name was Lorelai.
Annie's POV
So our family would be like this:
Daddy Mommy Dakota Roy Lorelai Caleb Me Hayley Sophia Carmen Kevin

That would be a huge family. I started crying. I was sad I never got to meet Dakota, Roy, and Lorelai. All 3 of us cried.
Hayley's POV
I was walking around at the store buying food, when I came up with a good idea. I'll take a train to Pennyslvania!! But, my mind started screaming "Don't go Hayley, you'll be lost forever." I said "Shut up stupid mind!! I can do what I want!" Then my mind said "Fine then. Not my fault if you'll never find home again." I'm going to Pennyslvania. And I'm never coming back. I bought some more stuff and left.
