VIXX - FANTASY MV THEORY

First off, we must find out what the song means. Here is its English translation.

The way I understand the song, it's about a person longing for his lover who dies. He wants to be together with her even if it's just in his fantasy.

Note the lyrics:

Now let's turn to the characters that VIXX members play in the MV.

1. The protagonist in the MV is N and Leo who, I think, represent two sides of just one person.

Proof:

- Leo wears white most of the time while N wears black most of the time. The color white is associated with purity and perhaps Leo represents the good side of the protagonist while N is the opposite.

- At the start of the MV, N is pricked by a thorn and so did Leo, but only at the end of the MV.

2. I think Ravi is Hades and Ken is his follower.

Proof:

- Ravi is never shown to be in the forest

- (At the end part of the MV) He wears a crown of thorn while sitting on a chair which I suppose is his throne

-(further explanations later on)

3. I believe Hyuk (and probably Hongbin too) are not Ravi/Hades' folloers but are beings who help the protagonist. (further explanations later on)

4. Ravi, Ken, Hyuk and Hongbin all belong to the Underworld. See how they have thorns with them? Ravi has it as a thorn crown. Ken has it as an embellishment worn on his chest. Hyuk has it as a necklace. Hongbin has it on his ears.

Only N/Leo (considering them as just one person) does not have those because he's not part of the underworld. Not yet. (I guess haha)

Now let's go over the events that happened in the MV and figure out their meanings.

- a lady's silhouette - the lover of the protagonist who is on the way to the underworld

- N/Leo finds himself in a forest after following the lady

- black paper - Hyuk reads something on a black piece of paper which is probably some sort of invitation to the Underworld. (Remember the invitation shown in the Conception Trailer?) The last person who had it is N.

- Hyuk and Hongbin talks to N over his shoulders - they look like a visual representation of N/Leo's conscience.

-Candles - For a brief moment, candles are shown beside Ken. Candles are usually used for ceremonies and sometimes are offered to the dead.

- N holds hand with Ken - Remember Ken is Ravi's follower. Yup, Ken will bring him to Ravi.

- N/Leo rides a boat - In Greek mythology, one must ride a boat to cross a river first before reaching the underworld.

- the next thing we know is that N is not in the forest anymore. He sits at the table opposite to Ravi who casually holds his drink.

- Ken points to the door - This is another proof that he is Ravi's follower. He is leading N further to the Underworld.

- Hyuk tries to stop him - Yup, another proof that he's not a bad guy but someone who helps N/Leo.

- N and Leo stand opposite with one another - this thing I haven't figured out lol

- Ravi punishes N/Leo - Perhaps that's the price he has to pay to see his lover again. (It's also another proof that N and Leo are just one person. They act like they are just one person, now both wearing white shirts. However they sit opposite with one another. Perhaps it indicates the opposite relationship between them.)

- thorns around N's hand and cloth around Leo's hand - this show that the two really do have an odd connection and relationship.

At the end, he was not able to reunite with his lover saying that it was all just a fantasy. All of a sudden, he is back in the forest again.
