Chapter Song: Bad Intentions - Niykee Heaton (currently my favorite song, will be more lyrics from this song in the future)

Chapter 41:

(Kerri's POV)

"Alright?" A voice had broken my ugly stare at a dot on the wall.

"What? Sure," I cover up my stupidity with another stupid line.

Lucas kicks my foot under the table, bringing me back to the almost empty library.

My pencil hung in my hand and I had an odd look on my face.

I slump in my wooden chair and fold up my schedule.

"You did not hear a damn thing I said, did you? he spits and yanks the folded up piece of paper. He holds it up to his face and looks at the room number.

"243 west wing, that's all you had to say Miss. Daydream," he states and throws the paper at me with force. Standing up he fixes his suitcase and starts to walk away.

"Let's go find your dorm room," he adds when I finally catch up to his lean muscular figure.

I stuff the paper in my back pocket along with my phone and pull my single suitcase behind me, just like Lucas.

We find my dorm room and already I know I hate my roommate.

Damn it.

There is punk rock music blaring throughout the halls and everyone knows just where the music's source is, my damn room.

I wouldn't even mind it being my neighbors but, no, it has to be my freaking roommate.

I knock on the door and receive no answer.

I turn to look at Lucas but he resembles the same concerned and confused look that I have taken up.

"Just go in."

I shrug and open the door, letting the loud ass music out of the small room.

"What the fuck? Who are you?" the black covered petite girl eyes me with anger and turns off the loud music.

I furrow my eyebrows and give her an oh so kind look (sarcasm at its best).

Her petite frame was decked out in black and her eyes were lined. She looks straight up scary. The grimace she sports make me wanna run back home and under my bed.

Lucas finally speaks up, noticing my awkward, scaredness," this is your roommate."

"Oh just fucking miraculous, I have the preachers daughter for a roommate," she rolls her eyes and lays her hands on top of her lap.

I give her an equally as insulting eye roll and glance at Lucas then back to her.

"And you think I want a devil worshipper as a roommate? No. That's your side, this is mine," I walk over and throw my stuff on my bed," don't mess with my stuff and I don't even want to touch yours, so no worries."

Lucas shakes his head and looks down at his feet as I take a seat on my new bed.

The girl is completely silent and sits on her bed on her phone as if I hadn't said a word.

Bitch.

Lucas walks over to me and puts his hands on mine as they rest on my knees," will you be fine?"

I nod," why wouldn't I be?"

He smirks and shakes his head, holding in his slight laughter.

"What's your dorm?"

"213 east wing," he answers and hugs me tightly.

"Be safe, call me when you get settled, we will go get food or something and get the rest of our bags," I answer and hug him back.

"Will do, captain."

He leaves with a final wave and I watch as the girl swipes and taps on her phone. During the whole Lucas conversation she must've put in headphones because her music was blaring, still, but now it was dimmed. I heard it, still.

I watch as she shifts on the bed every once in a while and she adjusts the brightness on her phone a time or two.

"Why the hell are you staring at me?" she yells with a glare.

I look away and shuffle my bag on the floor with my feet dangling from the bed.

"What's your name?" I ask, thanking God that her headphones were still taken out.

She sighs," why do you care? You'll go to the dorm office and get your roommate changed before too long."

I shake my head in response.

"What's your name?"

"Diana," she answers and looks away.

"That's such a pr--"

"Don't even."

I am taken aback at her snippy tone.

"Well, I'm Kerri," I try to patch up the previous tear in conversation.

"Cool."

I sigh and walk over to the dresser. I run my finger over the wooden surface.

As I walk back towards the bed there is a hard knock on the door.

I walk over to the door and open it only to be completely and utterly blown away.

The smirk that lies on the other side of the door is one that I thought I'd never have to face again.

I slam the door shut in panic. The smirk on the other side is banging on the door and Diana is about to run me over with an eighteen wheeler.

The banging stops and Diana shoots me with an icy glare. She shoves me out of the way and opens the door to reveal a nightmare.

I try to resist from looking at the doorway as the tall, lean, muscular figure walked in the room.

I looked anyway and found that my thoughts were exactly correct. Grey Elliot has decided to walk back into my life, only this time, he looked deadly.

I hope you guys enjoyed the very first chapter. My usual word count goal is 1,000. I like to keep them a bit short so that you don't feel like a whole chapter is holding very few details. I am going to begin making the chapter titles pieces of song lyrics. The song will always be posted in the beginning of the chapter. GREY IS BACK!! How do you feel about the train wreck of a person coming back? And what surprise do you think he will come with? I hope that you are super happy with how this is going, if not, please drop a comment, I promise the favor will be exchanged for credit. Anyone who gives a great advice or stays up on my book will receive credit. Love you guys!!! Vote and comment for support!! -C
