Chapter 3

Dominique:

As I woke up a few days later and glanced at the clock. Seven o'clock; perfect timing, I thought. I got up and out of bed, yawning and going over to the curtains and opening them up, taking in the amazing Wednesday morning beauty of the ocean. I was super excited, today was the day that Ren and I got to head off to San Diego. I went over to Ren's room to check on her, and decided that I'd let her sleep in today, considering the University let us take our class's off today considering the shadowing that we were going to be doing the next two days.

As I headed back to my room, I hopped into the shower to get ready for the day. Once I was fully decent, I went back into my bedroom to finish up the last bit of packing to do. I giggled as I packed up my swim suit and cocktail dresses. Hopefully this was going to be as fun as I have hoped it would be.

After I was sure that I was fully packed, I went back into Ren's room. I figured it was probably about time to wake her up, considering it was now after nine. I giggled and jumped up on her bed, jumping up and down yelling, "GET UP! TIME TO GET YOU'RE LAZY ASS UP!"

"HOLY SHIT!" She screeched, falling off the bed in the process. She sat up, glaring at me as I was laying on her bed laughing with tears streaming down my face. "Mee-me! I'm going to kill you!"

I smirked at her. "No, you aren't. Otherwise, I might just have a surprise shopping spree when we get to San Diego," I said while fluttering my eyelashes.

She gave me one of her menacing looks, the one that she used when she was majorly pissed off and ready to kill someone. "Leave, before I am charged with murder. You have until five. One...Two...Three-"

I scrambled up and off her bed, hurrying out the door and shutting it behind me, than yelling. "You better be ready to leave in an hour! Otherwise I'm leaving without you," Than walking downstairs to find something to eat.

I shook my head. "Goodness, that girl can be such a drama queen," I muttered to myself while pouring myself a bowl of cereal, than sitting down in the living room and turning on the news. After about thirty minutes of sitting there, Ren came down the stairs and headed into the kitchen.

I smiled at her, walking into the kitchen beside her, rinsing off my bowl. "So, you excited?" I asked while bumping my hip into hers'.

"Hell no," She muttered, grabbing the first cereal that her hand hit.

I shook my head, leaning against the counter and looking at her. "Renny, what's wrong? Normally you're excited about stuff like this."

"Impending sense of doom," She said while shrugging and shoving a spoonful of cereal into her mouth.

I frowned. "Ren, you know that whenever you get that feeling nothing happens. You're just over reacting. Everything's going to be fine," I said while smiling. "But hey, hurry it up, we have to leave in like," I glanced at my watch, "Ten minutes." I said while patting her shoulder and going into the bathroom to brush my teeth.

I sighed as I stated to brush my teeth. Ever since her parents have died, she has had those 'impending sense of doom' feelings, and she keeps on thinking that it has to do with something bad happening. I understand where she's coming from, loosing her parents and all, but I just thought that she needs to realize that not everything ends.

I finished brushing my teeth and headed into the living room just as she was carrying her bags downstairs. I smiled up to her. "Ready to go?" I asked while slipping on my jacked and grabbing my purse, having already put my bags into my convertible.

"As ready as I'll ever be," She muttered, carrying her bags out to my car and putting them into the trunk.

I sighed, shaking my head and locking up the house. I got into my car and started it up. This was going to be a long trip to San Diego, I thought.
