People were starting to fill the ballroom. Me, my father, and brother greeted people as they came in. Almost everyone came. I then saw Klaus's dad walk in. I then remembered what Klaus had told me. That he was only using us. He still didn't forgive my father.

"Excuse me." I said, and walked away. I didn't really want to see him right now.

I walked towards where the party was held, but Sevastion had grabbed my wrist.

"We don't go through there, we go through here." He said, pointing at the chairs set up for us. I didn't look at him, and walked towards where I needed to me.

"Right, I sit in the front, and Elise darling, you'll sit next to me. Next to me is Nicholas and next to him is Andrei. Next to Elise is Klaus and next to Klaus is Alisa.
And Esme sits next to Andrei, while Sevastion sits next to Alisa. We all good? " Klaus father, Gerard, asked. We all nodded and took our seats. I personally hated mine. I sat next to the two people I hate the most. This was the worst thing that could happen on my birthday.

The crowed kneeled down to us and and clapped their hands specifically for me.

"Must be nice getting all the attention." Sevastion said. I looked over at him and saw a smirk on his face. I decided to try and ignore him for the rest of the night, or more like forever.

People came and greeted us while other danced to the music the band was playing. I walked around, talking with some friends and family. But once Isabel arrived, I was far from excited. She wore a short peachy color dress that had black lacing here and there. She looked beautiful as always.

"Alisa!" She yelled, running towards me and giving me a big hug.

"Hey Isabel. So happy to see you too." I said with a small chuckle.

"So where is he?" She asked, looking around. I also looked in the directions she was looking at, trying to see who she was talking about.

"Who?" I asked.

"Klaus obviously." She said. I sighed and pointed over to Klaus who was flirting with the princess of Spain, while also taking a few glances at me. I looked away from his gazes and tried my best to ignore him.

"He's Looking at you Alisa. Did something happen between you too? You better tell me, don't be keeping secret from me."

"No, nothing happened between us. We're just not the best of friends. I hate him, he hates me. Simple." I said. Isabel smirked and nodded her head. She still thought I was lying.

I looked over at Klaus again and saw his arm wrapped around the girl's waist. I saw her face for a quick moment and she again looked really familiar. I then felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked behind me and saw Sevastion. I sighed and put on a fake smile, since we were in public.

"Hi." I said. He smirked and wrapped his arm around my waist. I wanted to push him away and yell at him from putting his hands on me, but I couldn't do that. Not here, not now. I took a sip of my drink and smiled to people as they walked by. Isabel was talking with some other guys, flirting which each one she talked to.

"You grew." I looked behind me and saw Aldric with a wide smile.

"Aldric." I said in a cheerful tone. I tried walking up to him to give him a hug, but Sevastion pulled me back. I sighed and pulled my arm away from him. I gave Aldic a long hug. Sevastion cleared his throat and I pulled away from Aldric. "Don't mind him, so how have you been?"

"Good, turned nineteen a few weeks ago, still feel like eighteen." He said with a chuckle. We talked for a while, talking about things we had done over the time we haven't seen each other. I enjoyed times like this, forgetting about everything, and just enjoying the time with the people you love and care about. Though it had to come to an end when me and my family were called up.
