The stars were the brightest they had been in months, Preston's reason was for the stargazing idea. It was his bet that they'd see a shooting star, and Lachlan's bet that they wouldn't. Rob silently agreed on both only to avoid the conflict, yet he knew the sky was oddly bright tonight.

And so they left. Lachlan drove the car, stopping at a cafe on the way to get drinks for everyone before heading to an empty park a few miles away. Rob set up three blankets for them to lay on, and it began. Stargazing.

Twinkling lights in the sky, stars shooting by, and the screams of "I told you so!" from Preston.

Until they watched the lights fall.
