-Damon POV-

I dreamed of her again.

It frustrates me more then I should let it.

I don't even know this girl but she appears in my dreams almost every night. I cant get her chestnut hair and hazelnut eyes out of my head. Even the warm blood dripping down the corners of my mouth couldn't distract me from this girl. She couldn't mean that much, could she? Have I ever even seen her? I know I don't even know her but at the same time I know every last detail. I need something to distract me.

"And you're not helping me," I mimicked dropping the lifeless body to the ground.

"Whatever happened to the fun you?" I asked judging myself, "Running around with my pathetic excuse for a brother-"

"Wait. Stephen," I'm an idiot. "Why not pay my little brother a visit?"

_NEXT WEEK_

I knew my brother should be home, so I went into his room to see a surprised Stephen.

"Hello Brother" I said with a grin on my face.

Yup I remember that face all too well; that's Stephens 'I'm going to murder you face.'

"Didn't miss me then?" I laughed jumping on his bed. If you haven't already realized my brother is a major downer. If you need someone to make you cry happy birthday, here's Stephen.

"Damon," he sighed.

"Congrats Stephen you're not as stupid as I thought," I mumbled rolling my eyes. Some days it surprised me that he didn't end up getting murdered somehow.

"What are you doing here Damon?" Stephen said in a snotty, arrogant voice.

'He sounds like a ten year old girl,' I thought softly laughing to my own comment.

Damn I'm funny.

"What are you laughing about?" Stephen said looking rather annoyed with my presence.

"Damn, your stress has aged you badly," I said sarcastically rolling my eyes. "You one ugly vampire brother."

"Have you come to only insult me?" Stephen asked throwing a bunch of stuff onto an old dresser. "Or why is it that you've graced me with your presence?"

"After all these years I thought you'd wanna see your dear older brother," I suggested making puppy dog eyes. They obviously didn't work all too well.

Stephen left the room and I listened as his footsteps reached the bottom of the stairwell before I decided to follow him.

As I reached the bottom of the stairwell Stephen made a dramatic hand gesture, "Here's the door, use it."

"Come on brother," I sighed sitting on the bottom step trying to reason with this boy. "After all this time can we at least try to pretend we enjoy each others company?"

Stephens face sank deep in thought before responding, "Damon so good to see you, bye."

He opened the door again and this time I got the message. Sighing, I stood up and walked along the hall to the door. I walked slowly hoping that somehow he'd lighten up and change his mind but he had his stone face on. I made it outside and was about to turn around to argue but the wooden door was slammed in my face.

"Message received," I sighed but quickly smiled, "Not!" I Laughed running around to the side of the house.

I Jumped up to the second floor window and ran to his bed in hopes of a pleasant surprise. Challenge accepted. I heard Stephen's steps as he was returning back upstairs to his room. I quickly covered myself with the covers blending in like a chameleon. A pleasant game of hide-n-seek 'Damon style.' As Stephen walked in his room, I heard him put a cup down on his dresser.

"Elena is that you?" He giggled as he flopped on the bed beside me.

'What is he a little girl?' I said inside my head.

I decided to be a dare devil and live for the moment. So I snaked my arms around him so "Elena" could cuddle. Stephen came under the blankets where it's pitch black. I kissed his cheek then whispered in his ear.

"Hello, brother."

Stephen looked like a graceful bird jumping and falling off the edge of the bed. I heard him stand and he proceeded to violently pull the covers off me. I covered my privates and made a shocked face screaming.

"Damon what the fuck are you doing in my bed?" Stephen said angrily running his hands through his hair.

"Peek a boo?" I said tilting my head and smiling.

"Leave, now. I can't deal with you right now," he said picking up his cup spilling half of it in the process.

I sat up but didn't move an inch. "But I just got here," I whined.

By the look on his face I had obviously totally achieved in ticking my brother off.

"But we're having so much fun," I smiled in which Stephen replied with a violent swing to my face which I dodged easily.

Nobody messes with this flawless face.

Stephen dragged me downstairs and to the front door.

"Goodbye Damon," he said practically pushing me outside. "It's been fun, really it has-"

"Oh brother," I laughed walking down the driveway. "The fun has only started."

"So you're not leaving?" Stephen asked with a disappointed look on his face.

I laughed softly to myself. "Course not baby bro, I'm not missing the chance to cause you as much pain as possible." I joked as he looked passed me to something behind me.

I turned to see what the deal was and saw her.

Now if this was just any other girl I would've pushed it aside in my mind and probably hit on her. But I was both oddly creepy and confused out of my mind because it was her. Her. The girl that seemed to haunt but brighten every one of my dreams. She was standing in front of me right there in the driveway.

"Well this just got interesting," I mumbled to myself.

If I was even considering leaving I wasn't now.

I need to know her. I need to understand.
