I sat in the back of the car, peacefully watching my parents laugh and talk over the loud music. I found it interesting, in a way. But when your three years old everything is interesting. I snuggled deeper into my seat, trying to find a comftable position. Closing my eys I waited for sleep to come.
Just when I was drifting off my mum spoke. "Aww what a cutie. Look at her Jared isn't she adorable when shes sleeping". I heard daddy shuffle in his seat possibley turning around. "Yes, yes she does".
I opened my eyes a crack and could see him smiling. Then the peacefulness, the serinaty of the moment was gone. Mommy gave a shrill cry. My eyes flew open instantly, daddy's body shot around. I heard a loud horn of a truck. It was the only thing I could hear. It drowned out the loud music. Then I saw it coming a massive truck, heading straight for us.
From then on all sounds drowned out, and everything went in slow motion. The truck came slowly. but as it came closer with each passing second. reality sunk in and it was like a fast forward button was played.
The horn was still going off, but now i could hear mummy screaming. she turned around. Her tear streaked face, scaring me, showing that something bad was about to happen. "We love you baby girl, ok. always remember that". She reached back and touched my leg gently. Daddy turned and said. "I love you princess" and blew me a kiss. That's when I knew this was the end.
The sickening sound the cars made as they colided. The glass that shattered flying everywhere sliced across mine and my parents skin, cutting our flesh open and creating mutiple little wounds. However one particularly large peice came flying at me. It cut across my throat. I felt myself losing consiousness. I fell out of my booster seat. and started shaking mommy soflty. I tried calling out to her, but i couldn't speak, tears started to pour out onto my face, they fell from my chin and onto mommy's face. Her skin felt cold to the touch. Slowly, hesitantly, I wrapped one of my little arms around my mommy's body, and reached out with the other to grabbed my daddy's hand, his skin was awfully cold as well. I heard sirens. and paniced voices. i could feel myself slipping more and more as the seconds went by. I nuzzled deeper into the crook of mummy's neck and and clasped onto daddy's hand tighter, Knowing this would be the last time I would see them again. The last thing i heard before i blacked out was "if their are any survivors, hold on"
