Chapter 10

*Skylar's POV*

I woke up early at 7am. I had kept an alarm today so I wouldn't get late today. I wanted to call Aliana, she was going out with her family today. Her cousins and their family had joined in and had decided foran outing.

I dialled in her number and called. She picked it up withing one ring and squealed.

"HEY SKYYYYYYYY", she sounded excited about something and I felt bad because I dint want to spoil her mood but I had to tell about Ryland to her.

"Hey Aliii.. you sound excited!"

"Yeaaaaaah.. I'm missing you man!"

"Yeah, me too", I sighed and said, "There's something important I need to tell you Ali."

"Oh.. what happened?"

"It's about Ryland. I had got a text from him saying that he is going to leave you by a surprise and I dint want him to hurt you so I thought I should tell it to you before he hurts you himself. . . .", I said in a sad tone, but very fast.

She paused for a minute and then replied.. "What? Sky do you know what you're saying?", she asked in a serious tone.

"Yes I am serious about it, he messaged me that he is going to leave you so Ali please leave him before he hurts you..", I said in a sad tone again. I wanted to cry but I was controlling my self.

"Sky listen, he has changed a lot okay. And he has moved on. And I have got a boyfriend after ages now! I know you still have feelings for him but you yourself pushed him away from you!", she said in a calm voice that was sounding more pissed off with every word she said.

"No, no, no you're getting it all wrong! I am serious! He messaged me that he just wanted to know that where did I go suddenly and all - "

"Sky please! ", she spoke before I could complete my sentence and said, "I love him and have always loved him, you just took him away from me. Now when I have got him, you're just.. Listen Sky, I am happy with him. You've got a problem then please just stay out of it."

She cut the call with that.

I couldn't believe the way she spoke to me. I was shocked. I couldn't even blink an eye.

She trusted him more than me ? When did I take him away from her ? He was never hers! What happened to her suddenly. I'm trying to help her and she just spat on my face with those words and ended the call?

Tears started to roll down my eyes. I couldn't believe it that my own best friend was leaving me for that guy whom she barely knows about.

I couldn't think of anything. I just fell to the floor and kept crying. I couldn't stop. Aliana was like a sister to me. We shared everything and always helped eachother, whatever be the circumstances.

But now... she's changed. She left me for him. How could she trust him more than me ?

I got up and decided to just freshen up and have some breakfast. I walked in the bathroom and took a nice warm shower. I spent half an hour in the shower.

I still loved her. I had to help her. Ryland would hurt her. I need to be with her after he breaks her heart, which I knew he would surely do. He acted rude with everyone and anyone. But I dint know what to do.

He just behaves like as if he owns the place and the people around him. He used to love me a lot, and his love was true.. but he used to hurt me whenever I wouldn't listen. He acted like as if he owned me, like a father or something. And I hated it.
