Dom's POV

(At the pack house)

"Whoever it is can wait." I say anger clear in my voice.

"But what if it's an emergency?"Stef says climbing off of me.

"I doubt it's an emergency."

(Knock)

"But what if it is?" She asks getting off the bed.

She puts her hand on the door knob.

"If you don't answer the door, I will." She tests crossing her legs.

Feisty and sexy.

She twists the knob.

I can sense that whomever is behind that door is male and they sure as hell aren't seeing my Stef half naked. So hop to my feet and sprint to the door just as she was about open it.

She smiles.

I open the door.

Tommy Walsh the youngest pup in the pack house stands before me.

He's only about 8 years old.

"See Caden I told you he was here!" Tommy shouts.

I hear foot steps shuffling around until Caden, Tommy's older brother who's about my age and height appears beside tommy.

"Alpha Dom, I didn't think you where here." He says looking over at Stef.

Jay is ready to rip his head off for looking at our mate.

"Well clearly I am, so what can I do for you Caden?" I ask clearly pissed off.

I pull Stef behind me, out of his sight.

"Um, I was told to tell you some news."

Caden's not to bright.

"And what might that news be." A say crossing my arms.

"Mrs. Wright is back."

"What did you just say?" I need to make sure he said what I think he said.

"Your mom is back, and she wants to see you."

'She's back' is all that plays through my mind.

"She's here, in this house?"

He nods yes.

"Tell her we'll be down in a minute."

I shut the door not even waiting for his response.

I don't even know what to say.

My mom has been gone for about a year now, due to her sister being diagnosed with cancer and living all the way in Europe.

I've talked to my mom about three times since she's left and two of those times where by text message.
