Stephina had seen enough, her reign of the coast was over.

They fought hard and so many to there last breath.

Hundreds of her kind had been captured and killed. She took a breath and sang loud, and clearly. A song of defeat. It was time to take her mer-people back to the underwater kingdom; where they were safe.

Angerly, they accepted the fate of their fight and vanished from the coast of Luna Bay Island.

But they will return again, with vengeance from hell. Nothing the town would ever expect.

That evening the town rejoiced and drank to conquering the mermaids. Those evil beings that terrorized the town and all who came, were finally gone.

There's no telling how long they will stay away, but for now the people were happy.

Men, women, and children were safe to swim again. The blazing heat that came in the summer months was too unbearable. The water was magical, it cooled, soothed and healed them.

Was it magical because of the mysterious mermaids? They hadn't a clue, but the beaches were safely back in order. That was a blessing alone.
