The Forgotten. part three

We both fall silent for a while. I finish my cup and nervously say "so. What makes you walk in these woods" when he answered hunting I felt like an idiot. Why else would he be in the woods? He chuckled slightly at my discomfort. "no need to look so glum." He lifted my chin so that I was again looking into his piercing blue eyes. I felt my cheeks pink. A quick flash of a childs swing set sped through my head creating a splitting headache. I pull away from him and rub my temples. I must have grumbled in pain because he said "should I help you to you're bed. You dont look so good" I sighed as the pain left smoothly "no I should be fine." I smiled at him "shall we go in?" I asked as I stood up. "no I think sit outside a bit longer" I felt a bit awkward "but I have to lock the door before I head to bed. I don't want to lock you out" my voice trembled at the end. "sit down for a second" he said casually. I did as he said. "are okay. You seem a bit nervous and off" and as he said that the pistol fell out of my pocket and onto the wooded porch. He looked at me a bit stern. "is the safety on!" I stuttered a bit. "i-i. I'm so sorry. I just. I dont usually get visitors. My parents don't even visit me. They never have. I have had a visitor in over 6 years. And it's really late." He didn't say anything for a second. I didn't look at him until he said "that's not what I asked" his voice was sad. When I looked at him he had a pain expression and was staring at the porch. He didn't look disappointed. His mouth opened to say something but he fell silent. I picked up the gun. "yes. The safety is on." He stands. "that's good to hear" he holds his hand put to help me up. I take the offer and stand. His grip felt strong. It felt safe. I smiled a soft smile at him. "sorry I didn't mean to upset you" I looked at him pained slightly. "there's no need to apologize" he says in a calm voice.
