chapter nine
"Woah" said Aquata in awe, none of us had ever been over-water so the fact that we could breathe over-water was amazing to us.
Aquata's moment of awe was abruptly cut off when Aura started to speak "Okay, so we got the breathing part settled, now how do we get legs?"
That thought quieted us in a moment of thought. How do we get legs?
But then, it hit me "The coralites!"
The coralites were the wands that the council gave us before we left for shore. That seems like a lifetime ago.
"How do we get the coralites to work though" Aura asked, making my idea seem kind of sad now. But she was right, we don't know how to use the coralites.
"Well let's just take them out and see what happens" I replied. So we took the coralites out of the bag we were given, full of empty food containers.
Once we all had our coralites in our hands, we just waited.
Waited, and waited, and waited.
Until, something happened.
The coralites started to glow, take a life of their own almost. Our arms were moving without us even doing anything, it was all the coralites.
Our hand kept going up. until the coralites were facing the center of the roof of this pond pool thing.
The coralites started to pour light and warmth out of them. The light poured onto the center of the roof, and our three lights joined.
The joined lights then started pouring down into the pool, and the pool shifted in color. As that happened, I felt an unbearable pain.
I know Aquata and Aura could feel it too, because they were too moaning in pain. Now, I don't know how it felt for them, but for me it felt as if my tailwas being ripped in half.
I know, graphic. But, that is how it felt.
I stayed feeling like my tail was ripping in half, bit by bit, for what felt like hours, but in hindsight it was probably like 20 minutes.
Finally it ended, and we had legs.
