∞ CHAPTER 4 ∞
I really try to not pay attention that stuff, the boy talk. As I have said before, I would much rather focus on my school work, but, wow, this guy was different!
After we had finished our breakfast and finished listening to Darcy whining about having to go on a date, when she really should be studying for our upcoming maths exam, we headed to our English classes.
Miranda and I walked into to our class room, to find all our class mates sitting up on the desks talking and shouting excitedly. We looked around for the teacher, but he wasn’t there.
Miranda walked over to one of the guys who was writting inaproprite words on the black board.
“Hey Joey, where is Mr Kingsley?” she asked
“He’s gone to the office to go pick up the new guy” Joey answered
“Wait, did you just say that Jason’s coming to this class?”
“Not exactly what I said, but that kind of means the same thing.”
“Cat!! Do you know what this means? We can introduce him to Darcy! We can do all those things that they do in movies where we talk about her saving little animals and stuff!”
“You’re really serious about this aren’t you?” I asked.
“Totally! But you have to remember not to -”
Just before Miranda could finish her probably "boy crazy" sentence, Mr Kingsley came in the room.
Everybody rushed to the nearest desk, except for joey who wasn’t fast enough, and just stayed where was.
“Mr Brunner, may I ask what you are doing out of your seat?” Yelled my English teacher.
“Just cleaning the blackboard sir” Joey said, trying to choke back a laugh.
“Well, I would appreciate it if you returned to your desk. Immediately!”
“Yes Mr Kingsley”
Joey hurried up to the spare desk at the back. And Mr Kingley walked back over to the door.
“Now class as I’m sure you already know, we have a new student joining our English class! I would like to introduce you all to Jason Daniels.”
Jason stepped into the room and almost every girl melted into her chair.
He was wearing the usual uniform but he had rolled back the sleeves and loosened his tie, but his hair, there was something strange about his hair. It looked wet, like he had just been swimming in the ocean or something. I was clearly wet, but it didn’t seem to drip onto his uniform. Maybe he used some kind of hair gel. I don’t know.
“Jason if you would like to take a seat between Colin and Catherin, I’m sure they’ll make an effort to welcome you to Emron high, and show you where all the classes are.”
Mr Kingsley pointed towards the empty seat next to me.
He sat down nervously and placed his books and pencil case onto the desk.
“Hi Jason, I’m Catharine. If you want-“
“Catharine Rio?”
“Yeh…”
His eyes were a dark shade of royal blue. His dark eyebrows furrowed together in confusion.
“Is something wrong Catharine?”
“Yes, a- no, I MEAN YES!”
Jason leaned back in surprise of my sudden change in tone.
“um, sorry. How do you know my name?”
He tensed and fiddled with his tie.
“I’ve just seen your name somewhere, maybe the class role or something” He answered quickly.
I didn’t trust him, something was wrong.
I coughed and whispered “fire” under my breath.
But unexpectedly, Jason Daniels was a dark blue, darker than I have ever seen before.
