Chapter One

Chapter one
Jade's P.O.V (Dove)
I sighed as I sat in my room of the Titan's Tower over looking the bay. Jynx and Raven were talking about magic again, and I still wasn't comfortable enough around the other Titans to try and join in.
On my desk a small notebook lay open to a page half covered with my hand writing, a story I'd started a while ago that I'd been working working on for years. I looked down at the half written page in sorrow, not sure how to continue the story before me, but far too attached to simply push it aside.
As I sat there staring at my notebook the sounds of Beast Boy and Cyborg's laughter could be heard as they passed by. Robbin was probably out training and Starfire was-
"Hello Friend Dove!" I jumped out of my seat, wincing when I landed on one of my wings.
And Starfire was floating there in my room a huge smile on her face.
"Oh, h-hey Starfire." I murmured quietly as I stood up, slowly flexing my wing to check for damage,  "Can I help you with something?"
Her smile seemed to get even wider, though I didn't even know that was possible, "Boyfriend Robbin, Friends Raven, Jynx, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and I are going to get the delicious pie of pizza, would you care to join us?"
I looked back at my notebook for a second before I nodded, "Sure I need a break anyway." I looked down at myself, "Just give me a minute okay?" she nodded and floated over to sit on my bed. I folded my wings so they were hidden and changed into a t-shirt and some jean shorts. I blinked, I actually looked normal.
Starfire looked on in aw, "Friend Dove, you look beautiful!" I smiled softly at her as my cheeks burned with a barely controlled blush.
"Thanks Starfire." I murmured before walking out with her.
"What gives Star?" Beast Boy asked as she floated out. I stayed hidden in the hall. "I thought you wanted to go out and eat."
Starfire smiled, "I was asking friend Dove if she wanted to come with us."
Cyborg gave a sad smile, "That was nice of you Star, but are you sure it was a good idea? I mean Dove is even more of a loner then Raven."
Beast Boy nodded, "Ya and she's stuck up too!" I was thankful they couldn't see me now, because I was crying.
Turning around I sprinted back to my bedroom, slamming and locking the door behind me.
