A letter prank!

It was noon and a young skinny boy, thin freckled cheeks, shabby hair , was walking on the sidewalk near the park. He was returning from school where he had a very bad day -

The boy was sitting on the bench near the football field of the school- London Fields                          Primary School- peacefully  having his lunch when a bully named Jaimen Dursley came in               and snatched the young boy's lunch bag and ate the sandwich that was given to him by his           mother with so much love. Jaimen said ," Hey you Pee-wee Augustine Davis, this is what                 happens when you sit in my place. Clear off pipsqueak!"  Seeing this, anger rush through                  Augustine's body. He didn't know how it happened  but a football kept next to him                            slammed in Jaimen's face and the bully was knocked out.

Remembering this, Augustine's confusion grew. After-all he was just eleven years old and couldn't process it in his mind. This incident reminded him of another interesting yet confusing incident that took place in Augustine's house a year ago. It was night and Augustine was alone in the house. He was watching Television when he heard the main door open. He thought that it was his parents but it was some strange man. A tall bald man, wearing some silly robes but carried a gun. He pointed the gun at him and asked where all the money was. "I don't know." said a frightened Augustine. He was hoping for his mom and dad to come home fast but he had no luck. As the man started coming near, out of nowhere, the chandelier hanging on the ceiling fell on the burglar's head and he was sprawled on the ground.

Finally he reached his home. His mother - a white blonde, athletic woman-,  Agatha Davis,  was waiting for her son to return. As he saw his mother, he hugged her and she welcomed him in as she did everyday.

"Mom, now i am a big boy, you should not stand out waiting for me as if I am a kid. Now even my hands reach the doorbell!" Augustine said in a slight angry cum friendly way.

"I know honey. You have become a big boy. I will try not to wait outside for you from tomorrow." She replied.

"I appreciate that!" said Augustine smiling.

"So Gus, how was the school?" Asked his mother.

"Today i got bullied by the Dursely boy and then the angel saved me."

'The angel' was a character made up by Gus that had helped him in difficult times like throwing ball at the bully or unbolting the chandelier. This made him understand what was happening but he was still confused about where the angel lived, or how did the angel come to know about him being in difficulty. But this 'angel' thing worried his parents. They thought that their son was a very lucky person and all these things are coincidences or Gus makes these stories up to seek attention. But they decided to go on with his stories.

"Really? what did the angel do today?" Asked Agatha.

"Jaimen snatched my lunch bag. Seeing this the angel threw a football on his face and knocked him off. It was strange. I don't know what is going on Mom. Why are these strange things happening with me?" Said Gus showing his confusion to his mother.

"Maybe you are a lucky boy and the god wants to save you for a big thing." Said his mother making the boy smile.

At that night Gus went to his room and was trying to sleep when he heard some noises out of the window. He got up to take a peek outside the window but saw nothing except some owls. He thought that the owls were out for the night being nocturnal and it is waste of time watching owls. Saying this, he went to sleep and everything was quiet.

                                                                           ********************

Gus hears knocking on his window and wakes up with a BAM! He looks out of the window and finds an owl sitting on the letter box. The rising sun disturbs his eyes but then too he rushes down to the post box to flee the birds as his mother was afraid of owls.

He opens the door and goes towards the letter box but he observes that the owl drops a letter into the box and flies away. The curious Gus opens the Letter box and finds a letter inside addressed to none other than him.

"Mum! Dad!" He enters the house calling his parents. "Look what I found! I think it is a letter from the angel" Gus thinks that it is a letter from 'the angel' as he had very less friends and all of his friends would contact him through telephone or e-mail.

"What is it slugger? What happened?" Gus's father, who was just woken up by his son's shouting, asked him.

"Dad, I got a letter addressed to me. I think it is from the angel, 'cuz you know, nobody sends mail these days. This has to be the angel."

"You have to understand this son that there is no such thing as the angel. It must be your school or some magazine. Let me see it."

He took the letter from his son's hand. It was a sealed letter with a symbol of some kind of school named Hogwarts.

Gus's Dad couldn't figure out what it was but he opened the envelope. The letter stated

Headmaster, Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"This is a bloody prank. My friend Johnny's son got the same letter. Somebody is messing up with the neighborhood kids. Don't think about this shite." saying this Mr. Davis went in the kitchen to grab a glass of milk when another letter swooshed in through the window of the kitchen. Augustine grabbed the letter and opened it. This letter too had the same symbol and the letter said:

Dear Mr. A Davis,

Due to your lack of knowledge about this school due to a non-magical background, a school representative will come to your house on this very day and take you to Diagon Alley to buy the necessary equipment.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

Headmaster, Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Gus's father read the new letter and said," Lets wait for the prankster to come. I will hand him over to the police when he comes to my home."

"No dad! We should wait and see what this is. This may be legit. I want to meet this person."

And at that instant, the door opens and a tall, blonde and bulky man enters the house. He goes near the sofa and sits on it carefully seeing to it that his weird cloak does not get wrinkled.
